[CoH 3] (8) Hill 209

Hey .ORG folks! I wanted to share my latest creation here, Hill 209. I took heavy inspiration from Rommel's failed Easter Battle along Tobruk's Red Line in April, 1941. It's quite a large map but provides a mix of open space for battles of maneuver in the south and tighter sight lines among rocks and burning tanks in the north. I've also managed to make some vehicle wrecks as cover which was quite a pain. Hopefully Relic adds more destroyed vehicle assets into the game

I've benefitted from feedback from Greyshot 117 as I've submitted this map as part of his 4v4 competition. You can check out all entries by visiting the collection on Steam. There is a community vote prize too where you can vote for Hill 209 or one of the other nine!

Kinda sorta off topic, but if there is also a competition, why is their no info for it here? I know Greyshot from CoH 2 and I think we have interacted a few times. Though I don't recall if they are active here? Could try and give a boost to traffic and the collection with a news article or something if they want? PM on here or discord or have them do so.

I was never asked but was also lazy/busy/consumed with making this map (it wasn't up to my standards by the 30th May date).

Man, why did they have to ruin the worldbuilder.... I had so many ideas for CoH3, but no time to learn a new worldbuilder all over again.. I saw you made some videos explaining the worldbuilder, thanks for that! Maybe one day I'll pick it up again...

Rosbone: It is clear they crapped out an unfinished game. And are now barely supporting it as they make new smaller games. Coh3 is stillborn. It will be meh for at least another 2-4 years. Meaning they killed the whole franchise instead of growing it.

Rosbone: If I did play coh3 and was mainly a skirmish player, I would be pissed and probably stop playing. And it has been like this since release. Why? I would not tell my friends to buy a game I am not even playing. Lost sales and angered users.
