Not really a balance topic but a topic about a Wehrmacht building not really being a good choice.

As Wehrmacht your T2 options are:

Luftwaffe Building (T2 a):

- Jäger
- Sdkfz 221
- Flak Lafette
- Wirbelwind
- Marder III M

Mechanized Building (T2 b):

- Panzergrenadiere
- Pak 40
- Sdkfz 251 Halbkette
- Nebelwerfer
- StuG III

The first issue: Jäger. In my opinion Luftwaffe (T2 a) is a no brainer if you want to win games. The most obvious reason is that Jäger are better than PGs in every regard. They even perform better against tanks than the Pak40. Making those two units in T2 b not attractive at all.

The second issue: Nebelwerfer. That thing performs like horseshit.

This leaves us with the StuG and 251 in T2 b... which are decent choices. But that alone will not make me go for that tier and skip Jäger and the Wirbelwind.

Opinions?

I like the Stug III more than the Marder, but yeah, the Wirbelwind is very good and the Nebel Rockets are very bad. I do think the Luftwaffe building has the better options for now.

As a US 4v4 player whose build centers around rushing AA halftrack then AT halftrack out onto the field, securing VPs with MG bunkers and mortar bunkers, and then getting a sherman ASAP, I have to say that this is probably a build that I would be eating for breakfast.

Number one, Sherman curbstomps the Wirbelwind utterly. On an even game, I'm able to get a Sherman out onto the field at 12-13 minutes. You have about two minutes to bully my infantry with the Wirbelwind while getting shot and penned at max range by my M3 AT halftrack before the Sherman hits the field and removes the Wirbelwind as a serious player in combat.

Number two, if you don't go for a Wirbelwind, and instead for a Marder, not only do you have no good way to deal with my close-medium range specialist riflemen, but my M3 halftrack that's already on the field can hit and pen you from max range, forcing you off the field and putting you on the back foot.

Number three, you're giving up on the nebelwerfer, which while it isn't an infantry blob rape god like you might want it to be, the explosion+flames make quick work of bunkers and MGs inside buildings, which I tend to rely on to hold points

Number four, you're giving up on the Pak 40, which the only other efficient non-mechanized counter to MG bunkers.

Number five, you're giving up on the medical halftrack. Enough said about that.

Number six, if you try to get panzershreck Jagers in order to pre-empt my early Sherman, I'm going to walk on you with my riflemen who can suppress you with their vet 1 ability.

From 1vs1 perspective
- I don't really see the value of a Stug upon a Marder.
- The nebelwerfer is lack lust, I had one incapable of firing on the top of a hill, almost all rockets repeatedly landing on the edge for no reason. Its unreliable.

T1a gives more versatility
- The flak lafette is a really good unit that can help stop any frontal push (while being very vulnerable if left alone)
- Jager gives you versatility between long range AI or shreck.
- 221 is a good scout unit to harass and you can upgrade it.
- Wirbelwind counters infantry spam which is meta atm.

During the Beta I felt werhmarch had a really solid tech but since the release I feel it looks like Coh2's USF tech system and fail in the same problematic of having to sacrify half of your capabilities to get the other half.

Jaeger with AT upgrade is solid since you only trade 1 Rifle to 1 shreck and 5-1 rifle squad in yellow/ green cover would dealing acceptalbe DPS toward inf. Not to mention 5 men squad is better than 4 men squad.
basically, they are Shreck panzerfussiler with balanced load out.

I actually like how performs nebelwerfer its ok against bunkers and teamweapons but not that good against blobs. Against blobs Wermacht have brumbars. I think this way is more healthy for teamgames.
