I have tried for hours to get my VDV squad to actually parachute down when dispatched, ive tried so many things and finally i found what i thought was the answer. Using the US paradrop i just simply replaced it so that the squad to spawn was my VDV, but still no luck, the US squad spawns still. Please help me, im sure its a very obvious answer so please be patient lol.

The Paratrooper abilities has several components to it that aren't exactly intuitive. Let's go through the different parts.
- abilities\aef\modal_ability\dispatch_ability\paratroopers_paradrop_mp
- paradrop_action
The only purpose of this action I think is UI related. It does not have to be changed at all within your cloned ability.
- air_strike_action
This spawns an aircraft squad. The aircraft is actually what creates the paratroopers.
- paradrop_action
- sbps\races\aef\vehicles\paradrop_plane\paratroopers_plane_paras
Make a clone for this.
- ebps\races\aef\pm\vehicles\paradrop_plane\pm_aef_airborne_paratroopers_plane_paras
Make a clone for this and link it to to the cloned aircraft squad.
- flight_ext\actions
Change the squad_to_spawn to whatever squad you want. There's several requirement_actions so you'll have to clean them up depending on your mod.

I thought i found the problem, i didnt clone the sbps so it wasnt linked smh. But now that its linked the plane flies over and just drops nothing, what am i doing wrong?

Check to see if the paratrooper squad requirements are fulfilled. The requirement_action within flight_ext has validate_all_subactions: true which could be the cause of your problem.
