Help! First-time creating a map!

New to the forum, didn't know where to post this topic!

So, I think I've made a rather fair and fun map. However, I would like to know and fix a few things before I finish it.
First, some objects act as a source of light (lamps and searchlights for example) when I set atmosphere settings to night. However, when I test my map or re-load it, all those light objects are "off", until I open up the atmosphere menus again.

Second, how do I make the, what should I say, outer section of the map, where units enter from and such? As it stands now, the map simply ends at the outer border, with no terrain behind it or anything.

Its the map interactive tool, you are looking for, regarding off map reinforcements. You paint interactive level 50, around the border of your map, inside the playable area. Usually a width of 32 or more, so keep that in mind when picking a map size. The above posted tutorial should explain it.

Aye, watched and read every one of those tutorials before, but could't find anything on the topic. Missed the part about posting questions in that thread though.

also in the terrain settings you can change the horizon setting which creates an extended bg

aerafield: @LimaOscarMike I would say nowadays is a decent time to try CoH3. If you loved CoH2 however, there is a solid chance you're gonna dislike CoH3

Rosbone: But I agree, the cost to get a full decent Coh game pushing $115 US is not the best idea. Especially when it needs so much more work for casuals.
