A few months back I had a kubel shot twice by a zis in the early game and it survived with a destroyed engine crit.
I was shocked as there should of been no way for this to happen due to 320 damage vs the kubels what 200ish hp ? and it reminded me of coh1 where tanks could take 3 or more penning hits at 5% health which was known as the 5% bug.
This was either extremely frustrating or a get out of jail free card depending on which side you were on in the exchange & it seems to have returned in coh2 albeit in much rarer circumstances.
Today I watched a tightrope where a m3 halftrack takes a pak shot that should of done overkill damage to its less than half hp, it gets the same heavy engine crit and he is able to select the unit, all its normal ui is still there & he even dismounts his troops & the m3 remains under his control for a further 9 seconds until a second shot finishes it off.
In the comments below he mentions that it was getting the abandoned crit but just took a while to do it yet the halftrack icon is still present in the upper right hand corner of the screen donating it still being alive unlike what is seen in the clip below & in my personal experience ive never seen a abandonded crit vehicle remain active for any length of time let alone controllable and firing!

This video shows as soon as a vehicle is abandoned it disappears from the upper right corner

(5% coh1 bug is back baby!)

Not sure what the issue is here in the second clip. The 222 is abandoned and the game physics keep it moving for a few seconds but it's fine.
With the M3 half track, I'm not aware enough of the game stats to know if it's a bug or not. Does that M3 have extra HP to survive 2+ AT gun shots? Is the game supposed to allow some severe criticals instead of outright dying? Can't remember what they've done or not.

seems like latency or packet lost issue
the client revalidate the status of the unit with the host. i m surprised the game didnt go bugsplat halfway

In COH2 any vehicle shy of medium armor dies in 2 clean penetrations.
In the video you posted I believe it to be a bug of Relic servers due to the difference of authentication and speed.
At any rate not a common occurence.

It would appear the plot thickens, su-85 takes 2 pak 43 shots & lives with no criticals

jadtiger has 1120 hp after the hp nerf in this vid so after the 5th ram its has less than 560 max hp yet it takes 9 more rams to kill. Even if they all failed to penetrate(they didnt) the lowest damge output there would be 720
This is probably related to the vid tightrope made about snares

The 1st video you posted is 8 (!) years old, so I'd be really careful drawing any conlusions with respect to the current game from that.
Regarding the Jagdtiger, a missing death crit on deflection for the T-34 ram is likely the reason it survived the test scenario you described (similar to what TR talks about in the 2nd clip). Not sure what the actual stats are out of the top of my head but I'd guess ram should have pretty low chance to pen a JT. Hence, it's probable to get the JT to 0 HP with just a couple of rams, but since you'd actually need to pen in order to kill it that last penetrating ram could take quite some time to score.
