Pershing vs Panther: Pershing barely wins with 20%hp left.
Pershing vs Vet Panther: Depends on luck and bounces. 50/50.
Pershing vs Command Panther: Same.
Pershing vs OST Tiger: Lose everytime.
Pershing vs OST Vet3 Tiger: Lose everytime.
Pershing vs OKW Tiger: Lose everytime.
Pershing vs OKW Vet5 Tiger: Lose everytime.
Pershing vs Tiger Ausf. B: Gets raped.
Pershing vs Ele/Jagdt/...: Gets raped.

Why?

Because combine arms can make it fire a bit faster than a vet tiger, they said.

Didn't try that to be honest.

Does it really make a difference? Unironically curious.

It do increase the pershing's chance but require extra micro and another commander slot while your enemy don have to.

USA having a heavy tank always was going to be in the dodgy territory. A faction with strong advantages in early game and midgame, then getting a very good heavy tank would be absolutely meta. And extremely hard to deal with.

It's still a Cheezeburger eating Comet for better or worse.

Pershing is decent ATM. It could use a slight MG buff or a slight AOE buff, but overall it's quite decent. I play it in 80%+ of games, and seldom do I have problems with the commander. I also never use combined arms as it's a meme in 3v3s. Pretty much asking for a werfer or stuka strike as you do need to blob around the pershing to be effective. It's a Hail Mary ability; A make or break situation. Extremely hard to pull off correctly (on some maps impossible) but if pulled off, you can destroy a lot of opposition.

Why?

Imo it's better against infantry than all of those tanks you listed. Tiger I is pretty close but I think I like the Pershings AI power better

It's definitely still an iffy unit, but it's mobility is pretty unique for a tank of it's style. Panther is very mobile too but has a tiny faction of the anti-infantry performance

Essentially you don't get it to fight tanks. Jackson is good enough for that, so pershing is a monster against infantry

You'll have to explain us what are the strong advantages you are referring to.

Pershing is between average and good. The problem isn't the pershing but everything else that is at best between average and bad.

All I see is a tank costing 600mp and 230fuel (slightly cheaper than Ele/Jagdt/Tiger A and B) that can get outplayed by a panther costing way less in terms of late game output.

What am I getting wrong exactly?

Good point. Maybe I use it wrong all these years (not that I play a lot of USF, lol) so I am used in heavy tanks fighting other heavy tanks.

Yes its AI was more than good.

Panther is designed to counter heavy tanks.

bloody terrible tank

unfortunately not enough room to be a good heavy when your enemy has tank destroyers with the armor, HP, damage and pen that you do

What, you need me to go through USF basics?

Path 'builds'
Smoke (most smokes of any faction) and BAR blobs.
Captain with 'On Me' to insta-break suppression
Riflemen who scale extremely well with vet (Vet III has 0.63 model size) but cannot be replaced
Extremely aggressive tactics and faction design
Best non-doc light arty (pack howitzer) in range and firepower
T0 mortar, even if some ppl view it as a glorified smoke machine
.50 cal as a HMG

etc.

If that's the prerequisites then saying Peshing should be a meme makes sense.
