Hi @ all.

The last days have shown that there is already some debate about the "historical content" of CoH 3.

I want to use the thread - and the added content - to help to work on a special source file to help to improve CoH 3.

So with the thread u will get a link to a google document where i'm trying to track down all weapons and arms of the "Italian campaign" (and perhaps Africa later on).

So here some Guidelines i want to talk about first:
1.) I'm no "professional expert" - I had studied history and military history in the past so hopefully i know what i'm talking about. But that is the reason why i would like to add as many source stuff as possible.
2.) I'm no allied expert. So i need YOUR help for the allied arms and weapons. Feel free to post any allied weapon that was used in combat with at least one combat unit that used the weapon in combat and a source for the information. Thx.

I will try to update the table section as fast as possible.

But please keep in mind. I have a regular job and i will work on it in my spare time. So please understand when i cant update the table 24/7!

With all those elements it is time for the table:

Google Table - CoH 3 Mediterranean Arsenal

Feel free to post any comment, correction, adjustment or new stuff here! Thx!

Just a suggestion but I would add (Elefant) to the 525th and 653rd similar to the Tiger battalions so people know what they were actually equipped with.

Because I have no idea at a quick glance what the rest of the detachments had.

Italian APCs and Cars seem to be missing in the spreadsheet. Like the
AS37 which had a MG, Flamethrower or 47mm AT gun for Armament.
AS43 (armoured Car) which used the hull of the AS37 and turrent of a L6/40
AS42 Jeep which was armed with a 20mm Breda , 20mm AT rifle or 47mm AT Gun
Lancia 3 a truck mounting 90mm AA gun.
The CV3/5 also had a Flamethrower and a 20mm AT rifle versions

So does anyone know what the fuck the 88mm anti-tank gun is supposed to be? It's literally a PaK40.

Either its some sort of typo, or Wehr in CoH3 are going to be using the Flak88 instead of the Pak-40 in the final game (At least in some campaign missions). Guess we'll have to wait and see.

EDIT: Alternately it could be intended to be the PAK-43, which is also 88mm. Really no way to tell at this stage.

Ok, but it looks NOTHING like a Pak43, not to mention its impossible to move one by hand or horse.

With help from @Just Perfect i was able to add some more stuff to the list.
At the moment i'm lacking any information for the free french forces armament.
Perhaps someone here here has a book or information about the FFF in Italy? Thx.
