Vickers wont suppress

Is it bugged or wth wont it supress?! Im having green grens running straight into it, rifle grenade it and hose it down.

How are brits supposed to hold ground?!

vickers cant suppress, don't bother using it, instead make an UC instead, and hold the ground with mass infantry



Another solution is to steal an MG-42 and never, ever use a vickers.

They (Balance Team) gutted Infantry Sections into the ground without giving British any proper support weapons hence why they have the lowest Win Rate in the game across all game modes.

On Top of that they even nerfed the Vet 1 ability which made Vickers actually useful inside a building. Its pretty bad at the moment and needs UC to supress for it since it cant do it on its own very well.

The balance team has avoided fixing the Vivkers, as a fixed Vickers is literally the MG42. Dont build Vickers, build more sections and open with UC.

Red cover results in earlt model drop and reaim, while yellow cover results in ignoring the suppression.

Its Vet 1 is the worst of any MG.

Hold your tongue before you lose it. The nonexistent Suppression is pretty depressing but the vet one makes the Vickers fantastic/ actually usable. You countersnipe snipers because high damage and higher range = dead sniper , out range machineguns in mg vs mgs, and erase ultralight vehicles within a massive arc. if you want a worse machine gun, I'd say the 50 cal which has all of the deathlooping excitement of the Maxim, with a smaller squad and now the worse utility and function of any of the machine guns in the game

The infinite wisdom of the Company of heroes 2 (tm) developers: each and every allied machine gun, with no exceptions, is inferior to the MG-42, yet, the axis have the BEST machine gun clearing in the game, and all of which are easily doable at frontal assaults.

God forbid if the UKF ever gets a machine gun that suppresses any and all infantry within one burst, or even have six man doctrinal infantry squads with gewehr-43 death laser rifles and melt enemy infantry, that would be broken, thankfully this doesn't exist in the game. :) :) :) :)

KoRneY: @aerafield It's possible that it is underpriced for what it is capable of now, no need to go full retard and take it immediately as a massive problem. It costs 60 more MP than a pz.3 and in 2v2 the barrage can be quite strong.
