How to get YOUR tournament promoted on coh2.org!

Hello everyone! GBPirate here. If you’re interested in running a Company of Heroes 2 tournament and want some advertising on the front page of coh2.org and its social media I’m your man.

I've got experience writing announcements and updates for the Master League. You can find a list of those posts here to get an idea of what yours would look like. An introduction to your liking — funny, serious, or something else — and then important tournament information. All this for not even a pretty penny!

I can also post on forums like Reddit and Steam to help you get the word out. If you'd like, announcements can also be made on coh2.org's official social media platforms such as the Discord server, Facebook page, Twitter, and Steam group. We'll get the word out!

Message me on Discord, Steam, here on .org, or just post below!

A high-quality and informative coh2.org tournament announcement will include almost all of the items below:

One art image of 850x252 pixels
- The art should have a logo and/or words to indicate what it is. Look to past posts on coh2.org for an idea of what these banners look like.

Tournament details like
- Who is running the tournament? You, an individual? A clan?
- Who can sign up (invitation only? Certain ranks?)
- How to sign up (via Discord? Replying to the announcement post? In a separate coh2.org thread?)
- Tournament seeding — automatch only? Using overall competitive rankings? (A_E’s ML Table)

Important dates and times such as
- Sign up open/close
- Checkin open/close
- Tournament start date + time
- Other tournament days

Tournament Organization
- Rules: Either link to a separate document and/or include rules in the post
  - Commander/bulletin bans?
  - Map selection?
  - Anything else
- Are you looking for referees?

Winning prize
- What is/are the winning prize/s?
- How many positions will receive a prize?

Community Engagement
- Where will the tournament be broadcast?
  - Be sure to include Twitch links that I can embed in the post
- Is there a fund for players or fans to donate to?

Master League Ranking Table
- Is your tournament for or includes top-level players? Do you think it will impact overall competitive rankings?

Past Experience (optional)
- Any examples of previous tournaments I can link to
  - Can include past brackets, YouTube playlists, Twitch vods, etc.

Rosbone: It is also hard to expect Relic to help Coh2 when they cant even make working menus in Coh3 yet, 2 years after release and at full price+ for DLCs. Thats like asking a fish to do calculus.

Rosbone: But this last patch has made good progress for grabbing players. All we can hope is Coh3 gets to Coh2s quality level before everyone abandons the franchise. Its Relic so they will completely f*%k it up as usual. But its a hope/cope.
