All of this however takes a lot of time which I don't really have, so I can't give you any ETA when this is gonna go live.

This game will be dead in less than a year. Probably more like 2 years with Relic scheduling. I would not put too much effort into it.

All will depend on COH3.

If it's like AOE4 and its dwindling player numbers, COH2 has another 5 years.

Hello guys

I have a question about a possible feature.
We could display on player profiles that they are currently in some match. This information would be updated every ~10 minutes. So it wouldn't be real time.

But I am really worried about "player sniping/dodging/etc" - I guess it could be a big problem for the well known players.

What do you think? Useful feature or we should rather skip this?

I'd say skip.
There's no benefit to it, additionally it could circumvent Steam's privacy settings for others not being able to see if/what you are playing.

Yeah you are right. After some discussion this wouldn't be good thing. But another question - what about bringing the observer live games from in-game to web?

It's something which is already in-game, people can use it to see what games are in progress, so putting this on the site shouldn't be problem eh?

You can already see people playing if they are in your friend list. And you can already spectate games. So top players would know who is playing anyway.

So it would not be worth a lot of work.

However, your match stats pages are much better than Relics. And Relics SPECTATE friends does not work half of the time in Coh2.
So you should just write Coh3 for us so we actually get a functioning system

Hello guys

I am happy to announce new release which adds:
  • Current Live Games in progress on website
  • User friendly links to player profiles


Live Games in Progress



You can find them on https://coh2stats.com/live-matches

There is overview which displays the amount of current playing games with players - this overview is updated every 10 minutes. Next you can see the actual live games in progress. This displays the same data you can find in game in the "observer" tab. Although I think it's little bit better formatted. The most interesting thing in my opinion are the ranks of the players.

With the ranks easily visible - you can go and pick a nice game with high level players on your favorite map/faction to watch.

User friendly playercard urls



The player card urls now have the "nickname" of the player in them. It's completely optional thing which is now automatically added. The old urls are still gonna work. Some special characters (such as Chinese names are excluded)

I don't see a reason not to have this feature. It already exists in some form, so by bringing it onto the web, you could circumvent the launching of the game, etc.

I have to say, the Live Games tab, being sortable by ranks is a Godsend. To know that if you try to play a game, you'll get a sh*tty match, since 99% of games currently played in 3v3 are of rank 1000+.... priceless.

Thanks for the notice. I will try to fix it. I knew that new updates could break the integration but I was expecting that they will not release new update - who could expect that they will change one stupid thing.
(FYI: This will need to be updated with every game update).

The process of debugging that and tapping into COH is rather complicated and I have it setup only my machine at home. I won't be there for couple of days. Hopefully I can fix this beginning on the next week.

I am dumb I see the leaderboards have a date and it is not current. PEBCAK.

Was watching a stream just now and noticed these two players did not exist on the 2v2 Axis Team leaderboards but are ranked. Something is off somewhere.

This match was being streamed and makoCELO reported them as a team and had their team rank. So the Relic server is probably sending the correct ranks?

They also appear in the COH2 leaderboards in game.

I am guessing the leaderboards are updated periodically and these guys popped up in between updates? That would totally explain it.
