USF have access to rifle nades through doctrines that are placed on RE squads and when fired have a timed fuse... Why does a doctrinal ability that is on a unit that isn't mainline worse than the OST grens rifle nade ability?
What is the reasoning behind giving it a timed fuse?

I don't think it's worse than the grens ability at all. It's just different. You pay a one-time fee and get free nades the rest of the game (what taksin said)
They're definitely useful, just because they can't wipe like the gren nade doesn't mean they're bad. Good at pushing guys out of cover/buildings, and always good support in a fight

Because 1 is an actual nade and another is pretty much portable mini mortar weapon upgrade?

Agreed with Latch, change REs to spamming Gren rifle nades with 0 fuse and same lethality.

Simply nerf the grenadier riflenade to echelon levels. But make it auto fire too.
