mp bleed and map control for 30 mun seems pretty good to me

If opponent is stupid to just walk on more then 1 mine and not sweep after first one, maybe.

Also, if you put mines in obvious places, they'll get sweeped, if you put it in some less frequented, they might do nothing whole game.

My point is, as amazing as mines are, they are NOT a reliable counter to anything.

Well you cant expect to have a counter everywhere they show up. They are situational, same as shocks.

If you dont manage to get them close, shocks are a mp sink vs obers.

Mine is just good overall practice. But it won't solve OP's issues.

It's like saying, use cover.

Thanks for all the insights. Based on the suggestions, I can make two conclusions,

Non-doc solution:
Build early katy and try to get lucky hits before they vet up,
plant alot of mines in general (also demos)
Also, try to keep the vet3 T70 alive till late game

Doc solution:
Get Shockies and draw them close (easier in narrow maps with smoke nade combo)

Pretty much?

I wouldn't recommend sniper in late game, specially against someone who is struggling with Obers in the first place.

It's far easier to counter soviet snipers with a Volks in the front and an Ober behind pushing than viceversa.

Katyusha > T70/Tanks > Grenades/mortar indirect fire > Shocks.

This. Please....I've lost countless 2v2's where my soviet teammate was struggling with infantry and thought a sniper would be a good idea, also quite a few where they went sniper right away. I had one last night where my teammate got a sniper as his second or third unit and then couldn't keep anything beyond the first point outside our base. His sniper died at about the 9 minute mark, and had just 2 or 3 kills
