Why maxim is trash

It has only 1 function - anti blob. While other mgs have 2 equally important functions - anti blob and AREA CONTROL. Maxim cant do that second thing at all. Thats why nobody builds it.
So any player if he sees maxim would just not blob - instead camp, cap more points , blob with spread units etc. That way making maxim waste of resources.
1.. Significantly increase its FAR supression and arc. At the cost of any thing else - 4 models, 300 mp.
Unlock and reinforce (120 per squad) price is too high for its stats. 6 models also dosnt give any important advantage over 4 models.
2. Or make 0 tech cost available at T0.

This, that and it's accuracy is better then the mg42.
Sure mg42 has more suppression, however it won't drop models as fast.
Also more models means it's more survivable, especially when there is indirect fire involved. Maybe you should watch how you position your mgs as well as support them.
Make sure you hold down rightclick and try and get your models in a favourable position rather then just click and forget.

All I don't understand is why the mg42 and Maxim are same price
6 models vs 4 models - and also anything to prevent the return of maxim spam.
Really though, because of the 'death loop' (which is tied to animations - so it can't be fixed) as well as the resistance to changing lowering its model count, balancing it is really, really hard.
If its cheaper, then its too spammable.
If it does more damage, then the 6 models make it too powerful when not being 'death looped'.
If it deals more suppression, OKW becomes unplayable until T1/T2.

timing 8-10 min (if maxim is built) vs ~0 min
They are good in lazy games when axis player doesnt control his units otherwise they walk out of maxim arc no problem

The maxim has a 6 man crew because of the deathloop animation that nobody has been able to fix.
Basically the maxim is a failed unit. Accept it and move on.

If maixm was given 4man and had the suppression profile of mg42.
Even with the deathloop, someone is going to cry here/steam/offical forums.

Why bother counting the starting resources. In all practicality t1/t2 is free. it's not like you can skip the payment and facilitate getting something else down the line.

It doesn't weigh in the maxims favor that in order to get it early, you have to sacrifice some field presence because you have to spend 160mp on tech. This is really noticable in 1v1s vs OKW, where getting an early maxim is like intentionally handicapping yourself.
Overal I would say the maxim is overpriced. However, because OKW has been cursed with a weird tech structure that doesn't do well against maxim spam in team games, I am afraid it can't be buffed.

There are none, Ostheer T1 and price have been adjusted to be align with non tech start factions. You hav your Gren at the same time than other 3rd unit on the field.

They arent same price even.1 u reninforce by man not 6 men at a time so u are wrong , and by this logic wouldn't the same be applied to green vs cons ?
