Also infantry sections since their snare are in the hand of royal engineer.
...

Not imo, part of the reason IS where nerfed in their DPS is that they almost always fought from heavy cover. I would rather test moving sand bag and trenches to Ro.E and keep IS DPS strong.

Trench would actually become password protected again but able to be captured and able to dismantled.

This changes would force UKF to include more Ro.E. in their army composition. Any changes in balance then would about Ro.E. and not just IS.

And I think this shouldn't be green cover.

Did you not see Saving Private Ryan?

Give RETs the ability to build sandbags.

Change tank traps to yellow cover.

why not just leave it as it is. current implementation works fine, at least gameplay-wise, and if you really want sandbags you've got 3 more or less powerful doctrines to cater to your needs

Short answer? Because it's easy to fix and it looks dumb.

well, fair enough. still it's not looking much dumber than tanks missing point blank shots against each other or infantry standoffs across a tiny wooden fence. some things in coh are just meant to look dumb in favor for the game mechanics to work.
would you feel less disgusted if the tank trap model were changed to sth covering the gaping holes between the beams?

I wouldn't say I'm disgusted at all. These things being green cover is fairly bad ludonarrative dissonance, but it's not offensive.

I just think it's easily fixed.
