Is there anyway to actually direct this ability? nothing worse that selecting an area to attack for the planes to come in at completely the wrong angle.

I find simular issue when using it. As its not the same nuke saturation as before, i think its directing should be made more clear, such as target indicator showing where bombs will drop.

Yeah, since the bombs dropped in a line, it need an indicator to allow user so "aim", something like frag bomb's indicator.

It is 250 muni after all and it feels heartbreaking to waste it.

Let me throw out a suggestion. I may add it to my mod tomorrow.
Upon designation, a recon aircraft will fly over. (Can not target in fog of war)
For the duration an overwatch action will apply.
Up to 4 MG strafes on infantry only.
Up to 2 scatter bombing runs on buildings.
Up to 2 Precision bombings on vehicles.
High likelihood of attack craft of being shot down.
This would make the ability more about field control rather than obliterating a target. I would rather not see HQs be obliterated every time it is cast, especially seeing the commander already has a quick recon for targeting. The commander though is already too heavy on munitions.

Then why on earth would anyone bother using it if it could get shot down before its bombed? Keep it as is if thats a change you'd make, its 250muni, the recon ability is 120? or is it 80 I forget, but either way thats over 300 muni to kill a structure, thats its job.
So what would you propose to OKW bombing abilities that melt emplacements then pop smoke everywhere? That can't be shot down and is made for the same scenario.
Don't try change what doesnt need to be, just look at the bit that doesnt work!
