I'm currently trying to make sense out of the replay files from the World Championship. I do this with a program that I wrote a couple of years ago that uses Inverse's vault to interpret the replay files and then have a Fortran program reading that reading the results and puts together the statistics.
Now, the info I get from the replay file is basically that a player build a certain unit with a certain ID or calls in stuff with another ID. The program uses a list of these IDs to identify them as MG42, Volksgrenadiers, Fragmentation Bombs or whatnot.
Every time I used the program for a tourney I had to amend these lists for changes or new units that the previous patches brought. And given that I haven't used this since GSC2, I found there are a lot of "unknown" things in the replay files.
Now, the only way to find out what a certain ID means that I know of currently is to fire up Coh2 and watch the replay up until the point when the unit/building/ability/upgrade in question is called up and check what the player actually did. That's kind of awkward and I'm a bit tied for time right now. And then I need to find the proper graphic for that thing if it makes it into the statistics...
Is there something in the Modding tools where I can get this information more easily?

Is 15 the ID from the MG42? and 2224 the ID of the Tiger Ace? In that case it is the 'pbgid' of the files in attribute editor. If you can send me the list of unknown ID's, then I would gladly help to map them on these files.

Thanks, I'll send you a PM.
Edit:
Ah, right, that doesn't work...
So, yes, 15 for MG42 correct, I can't say if 2224 for Tiger Ace is, though. The last time I did this, the Tiger Ace was a call in, and it got called in by a commander ability with its own ID. But I guess this is the correct place to check.
Ok, unknown stuff:
Commanders:
452452 (Okw)
452454 (OH)
452455 (UKF)
452461 (SOV)

For a cross-check:
Example for a commander ability: 16735 would be the "105 mm Howitzer Barrage"
For an upgrade: For some reason they appear in two different commands in the replays, I have not found out yet what the rule is why one appear in one and not the other. But to give examples of both: 137 are the Schrecks for PGs, 157 would be the pintle mount on a StuG-G.
Buildings: 1473 would be OH's T1, 3197 an M5 Mine.

It would be really helpful if I would know the faction. Could you provide that information?
