I'd leave too if I spammed 4 snipers and 4 su85s, and then lost one su85 if for nothing more than pure embarrassment.

Permanently BannedAs much as I think SU-85/Guards/Snipers are OP, it begs the question of how else does Soviet have a chance against a good German player? This game has more balance issues then meets the eye.
Until Soviet has decent T2 and T3 units (T-70 aside), cookie cutter Soviet is really the only high level option.
The mistake made in this game was not back teching to T3 for say 2 T-34's so he could RAM your Elephant and win. This is the last element a lot of people forget to do, but when done this strategy is currently unbeatable.

Do what you want, but you wont win with 2 units vs an Elefant, t34's where needed. GG none the less.

You always amaze me with your playstyle Hans. And I don't care if OMGPOP is a better rank than me, I can't respect such a poor strategy. It was pure abuse nothing more.

You play to win really, but ofc it doesnt justify the flaws in coh2.

Thanks Godz_Mercenary. It's unfortunate that this is the current soviet meta. Hopefully when next patch rolls around Ostheer players will have an easier time vs Su-85s.

Stop bashing OMGPOP. I've played both of them and they play very similarly, the only difference was Pop had 1 M3 with 3 snipers and Hans had 2 snipers with multiple M3s, so its not like Hans is a "victim" here.

I'm not bashing OMGPOP in general, he is a good player I know that, but in this replay having 3 SU's and 3 snipers was just pure exploitation. I saw Hans use true high level play in that game. And I saw clear abuse by the other high level player.
Competitive gaming is a sport. Exploitation of game imbalance like this is hardly much different to an athlete using steroids for an edge.
We play to win yeah, but what good is a victory that you didn't really work hard for.

Exploitation? lol, omgpop stops getting su-85's after one and gets the two t34-85 call-ins wins the game if used properly. Had he not built more then one su-85 he could have had them out just as hans elephant came out. Spamming the same tank isn't exploitation, it doesn't work if your opponent knows how to deal with it.
