I have been playing CoH2 for many years but I believe that I still need some improvements after I lost a round. I would like some more advice on how I would be able to defeat my opponent.

My advice to you; if you wanna be very good in one particular faction, you must play the opposing factions as well to learn their weaknesses and improve your knowledge about your opponents and their units, teching, etc. Do that, and you will certainly see how you improve.
