thanks tightrope. couple things you mightve missed: the first schwerer died to the concentrated arty during our first push. recon plane gives me sight and i dropped it as soon as the assault began. a schwerer will die 99% of the time if you drop it right on top of it with no additional help, so it actually doesnt matter where the okw player puts it (other than in his base sector of course). i also killed the medic truck during that push with my piats towards the end.
also i think that to be successful as brits right now you need to basically just turtle for the first few minutes until you can build a mortar pit. note that i dont even try to retake the bottom VP after the axis sieze it, since i know im gonna take model losses in the attempt vs the volks in green cover. i just sit around my resources and my trench. once the mortar pit goes up its on the axis to make a play and try to kill it, as seen by the volks trying to flame nade it. this creates openings for you as a player to exploit. the mortar pit is only supposed to hold you together until your cromwells come out, and after that its fairly smooth sailing as long as you get sweepers and save enough muni for arty cover.

It looks like arty cover isnt nerfed yet. Paying 250 ammo for an offmap is expensive. Watching how arty cover ignores the fog of war = priceless.

Arty cover is just plain stupid and OP, they really should fix it.
Yeah, paying 250 munitions to nullify tanks and infantry is stupidly powerful and over the top. It also works in tandem with the Hammer Tactics tank tracking passive the Cromwell and Comets got; allowed the Arty Cover to keep barraging my tanks after retreating to base.
If the only counter play is to retreat literally everything back to base, then something is seriously broken.
