Is this a thing? I've encountered twice (first time on my previous replay from yesterday, 19 July) and managed to beat it. This game makes a marvelous turn-around for me (I was practically base-pinned). Unfortunately, in both cases, the Jaeger Light Infantry simply fail in the late game, especially to HE rounds from my Ronsons. :')
Enjoy the carnage!! My pack howitzers did work... until they got knocked out by the 105mm artillery barrage, which was brutal and excessive.

It's definitely a thing, but since it's a rare commander you don't see it used very often. If I see jaeger infantry I try to get a light vehicle as fast as possible, because they tear holes in riflemen and map control alike.
