Company of Heroes 2 - Case Blue Mini Pack

Available: 24 September 2013 (7,19€ on Steam, included w/ Pre-Order and DCE)

Relic's first Wehrmacht campaign for Company of Heroes 2 will launch in just a few days. Here are the details and some gorgeous new promotional images. Two new maps, Road to Kharkov (2-4) and Faceoff at Rostov (6-8) will be added to multiplayer, free to all.

About the Game
After the long winter of 1941, the German Wehrmacht launched a massive summer offensive in June of 1942 codenamed “Case Blue”. The goal of this operation was to capture the oil-rich lands of the Caucasus region. Case Blue achieved spectacular early gains, but met with strong resistance around Stalingrad.

Take part in a series of scenarios, challenges and battles based upon this operation. Command the mighty German war machine and lead their forces to victory from spring through to the harsh winter of 1942.

Co-Op Scenario: Voronezh
VORONEZH, RUSSIA, USSR. June 28 1942, Germany's summer offensive must secure several routes to Stalingrad, but the Red Army holds defensible positions along the Don River. As a part of Case Blue, the Wehrmacht fights to capture and hold the populous Russian city of Voronezh. German infantry forces hold ground within the city, but armor support must break through Soviet defenses and counter enemy tanks. Control bridges to bring armor into the city, and command a unified army to smash the Soviet defenders.
Play with a co-op ally: Player 1 (top) commands vehicles; Player 2 (bottom) commands infantry.

Solo Challenge: Tiger Ace
VOLGA RIVER BASIN, RUSSIA, USSR. September 1942, The Wehrmacht has nearly reached Stalingrad, and the Red Army has struggled to answer the Case Blue advance. Towns and villages throughout the western USSR were evacuated as military forces dug in and prepared for the German assault. An early production Tiger Tank has arrived at the front to drive Army Group B toward its goal.

Solo Challenge: Destroy a Convoy
NEAR STALINGRAD, USSR. November 1942, The Soviets tenaciously hold on to Stalingrad, despite terrible losses and scarce supplies. The Bolsheviks supply lines must be cut if they are finally going to be driven from the city. Use a small force of Pioneers and Grenadiers to eliminate Soviet convoys into the city.

AI Battle: Don River
DON RIVER VALLEY, USSR. December 1942, The Russian winter has once again put an end to German advances into the Soviet Union. The Red Army has launched a massive counteroffensive aimed at erasing all the gains of Case Blue. Along the Don River, the Wehrmacht's flank is under attack by two Soviet battle groups, but the Germans are hardly unprepared. A powerful howitzer guards the river crossing, but it is unclear if it will be enough to stem the Soviet tide.

AI Battle: Kharkov
KHARKOV, UKRAINE, USSR. May 1942, The Red Army has retaken the industrial city of Kharkov, attempting to take the initiative in the second year of its war with the Third Reich. Marshal Timoshenko's forces are overextended, however, and General Paulus and the Wehrmacht's Sixth Army are charged with reoccupying the city. Timoshenko's forces will not give ground easily, however, and they have successfully mobilized local partisans to help with the defense.

Rosbone: @Lady Xenarra Yes, I am more than happy that Kill Counts were added. I apologize for the insane rant. Like everything else, if you want it done right you have to do it yourself :romeoHairDay:

adamírcz: Damn, didnt expect to trigger such impressive rant, but there is nothing I disagree with there

Rosbone: Damn it, you got me talking about Relic again. I had almost completely forgotten about Coh3, like most everyone else. You can only watch waterheads tri n the sidewalk so many times before its just sad.
Last Thursday, 18:13 PM
Rosbone: They offer no help to the underling because they dont know shit, they just annoy them until they quit and go somewhere else. There it is, the business in a nutshell.
Last Thursday, 18:08 PM
Rosbone: Like most companies, if someone is good at their job they dont get promoted. So only the dumb rise to management roles. These people are usually what I call list makers. All they understand is "I have a task on my list that needs done, did you do it?".
Last Thursday, 18:06 PM
Rosbone: It is extremely sad that some moron like me could go there and out work everyone there in multiple roles.
Last Thursday, 18:05 PM
Rosbone: So now it has multiple points of failure and relies on asynchronous internet calls. Just the dumbest of the dumb work at Relic. It is clear, they have no concept of what is good or bad.
Last Thursday, 18:02 PM
Rosbone: The old file had player name, position, rank, RelicID, SteamID. Coh3 should have included these and player color. Now it just has player name and IDs. You have to go search for the rest of the data from a Relic server.
Last Thursday, 18:01 PM
Rosbone: In typical Relic fashion, they did something truly great and then f*cked it beyond repair in a fit of retardation. I have not looked deep in Coh3s files but I would imagine it is still broken. They should have expanded the local info, but its Relic so....
Last Thursday, 17:58 PM
Rosbone: @adamírcz Not sure which CELO you are using, but all CELOs pull information from a Relic server. This is because Relic is retarded. All the data neded used to be in a local file, then Relic broke it.

adamírcz: and now its back on; noice

NigelBallsworth: @GenMe what you're saying makes sense, but if that's the case, the designers are creating a situation that makes it very irritating and not at all fun to play Allies, seeing as the player of average skill gets stomped 4 out of 5 times by players of noskill
