The 8 best players will be selected after the sign ups have closed. Those 8 players will compete in the tournament.
Players that are seeded are required to deposit 5 USD to the SMC paypal. This is to ensure that the prizepool grows and that the players are invested in playing the games. Don't worry, you will make your money back at the end of each month as all players are paid!
Remember, if you don't get seeded, you can always sign up for the July Qualifier!
This is will be used as a qualifier, where the top 4 players will automatically be seeded for the finals in August.
First the players will do a coin toss. The winner of the coin toss chooses to either pick the map or pick the faction first. Obviously, if the winner of the coin toss chooses to pick the faction, the loser gets the map pick and vice versa. Before picking the factions, the teams will pick the map. In the first round this means you automatically are tied 0-0 and do a coin toss.

Map Vetoes and Faction Selection
BO2:
- Game 1: The player with the least points gets the map AND faction selection first. If the players are tied in points, then a coin toss will decide the picker.
- In case of a coin toss: The loser chooses their faction AND chooses the map.
- In case of a coin toss: The loser chooses their faction AND chooses the map.
- Game 2: Players swap Allied/ Axis and play same map as G1. The player that chose faction in game 1 second, now chooses his faction first.

- Lateness may result in VP penalties or worse depending on the referees/organizers decision.
- Players are required to schedule their series on their own time (as long as it is before the deadlines posted in the SMC discord after the brackets go live.
- Match fixing is disallowed.
- Please restart CoH2 before any tournament game activity, and close external programs before playing, to avoid crashes.
- Bugsplats: If there is a bugsplat within 7 minutes the game will be replayed, assuming no player suffered huge losses. Example: Player 1 "bugsplats" after 5 min after losing his whole army except one pioneer. In such a case the referees/organisers make a decision of what will happen. If there is a bugsplat after 7 minutes the referees/organisers will do either one of these things:
- If both teams agree, the game will be replayed.
- If both teams don't agree and if there is a clear winner according to the referees/organizers, then a win will be given. In case there isn't a clear winner the referees/organizers will make a decision of what is going to happen.
However, the player that bugsplatted has to screenshot the crash with windows time/date showing! If this doesn't happen within 5 minutes, the referees/organizers are allowed to give the win to the team that didn't bugsplat. - If both teams agree, the game will be replayed.
- If there is any sign of cheating during the games, contact the referees/organizers. They will decide what happens.
- As a player, you must show respect for your opponents and the referees. Bad behavior will be punished.
- Report that your series was played in the SMC discord! Referees/organizers will insert the scores into the challonge brackets after they are cast on Sunday. The links to the them will be given after the sign-ups end and before the tournament starts!
The players will upload the replays in the SMC discord, the referee will then link them to this thread. Each week you have till 8:00 EST Sunday to submit your replays to a referee. If you do not upload the series you have played, no point will be awarded and it will be counted as not showing up and playing for BOTH players. So it is recommended that both players save the replays.
Please upload the replays with this format:
SMC Summer: Round(R1, R2, etc.); Game Number(G1, G2, or G3); Your Name - Opponent's Name
Here is an example of how you should post your replays:
Use the Insert Replay function in the reply editor to link your replays: that is the button to the right of the Twitch icon.
In the event that only one player shows up for check-ins for a round, that player is awarded 1 point and the opposing player is awarded 0 points. If this occurs twice during the month, the no-show player is disqualified.

Remember, you have until the following Sunday at 8:00EST each week to submit and notify the referees. Below is the time frame.
Each series will be subdivided by the amount of weekends left in the month. To give players plenty of time to player their series. An example of what that looks like is below.
8 player example:
This means that you would have one BO2 for Round 1, and two BO2 for the following 3 weeks.
