So let's do some maps!

It's incredible the low quality (in balance terms)on the 2v2 pool right now.
It would be fine if someone makes a poll to vote the worst 2v2 maps and best 2v2 maps.

I would consider adding more than 3 maps and removing 6+ from the 2v2 pool.

+1 like 50% of the maps in the 2v2 pool are utter trash
Btw is this Curation Process mentioned in the article new? Cos I simply can't imagine that anyone voted garbage like Pripyat, Lisores or Caen to the top last year

For the thousandth time, Lisores, Pripyat and all the other 2v2 maps that were added, we were given 2 weeks time. Pripyat wasn't even 25% through testing (it has multiple other iterations that address major issues and Lisores was straight up stolen and redone). Caen was voted in by the judges of the contest, and then changed a few months later, resulting in what it is now, with arguably the worst cutoffs in the game.

Adding more maps is gonna piss more people off. Cause they lose on the map the first time... well then it MUST be maps fault and therefore is utter trash. Lets not even get started on how people acted with GCS.

You don't want deaththreats for making free content that eats up hours of your time? Isn't that a reward in and of itself? LUL

Will this window give opportunity to fix all of those issues, and with the ones added in the 1v1 pool also?

Each map maker is eligible to submit 1 map for each visual category (Urban, Rural, and Industrial)
Can one submit a single map for two categories if it contains elements of both?

No, because if you use multiple building categories it causes issues with the game loading time taking longer. You either get rural, urban, or industrial.

what about 1?
I was thinking more like 8 personally.

No. That is a separate project that is already underway, unfortunately the people partaking in the contest are also the ones updating all maps in the pool, so that might delay things a bit, but most likely not by much.

Wait. One is not allowed to use Buildings of different categories? This sounds very limiting / Is not clear in the rules & and doesn't seem to be a relevant problem, given the fact that official relic maps do that.

It has always been a problem since vcoh. And official relic maps don't do this because they have access to tools we don't. This is the exact same rules as the 1v1 (outside Relic changes).

Are there more hidden rules one needs to know?

It's still not clear in the rules. Like "You are only allowed to use buildings of one of these categories (Ardennes urban, Ardennes rural, Normandy industrial... etc).
Are there more hidden rules one needs to know?
"Hidden" LUL. This has been the standard RULE since Vcoh. So you are talking almost a decade and it was the same in the last contest as well.
Yah, should I also say don't submit old maps that have been on the workshop already? Cause that's also a thing.
If you want to know rules ask Relic, I merely helped in making this. I am by no means "officially" running it.
