The tournament will be run over a period of five weeks on Pacific Daylight Time. During this period, the top 8 competitors from each qualifier round will move on to face the 16 pre-seeded contestants from the ESL series in the main tournament which begins on August 28th, 2016.
Funded by purchasing War Paint Skins through the in-game store, each skin purchased between now and September 4th contributes both to the tournament's prize pool, as well as unlocking a variety of rewards for those who have purchased skins.
Each round of the tournament will be live streamed on Relic's Twitch Channel.
Tournament Schedule:
- July 29th: Tournament announce + Registration Opens
- August 14th: Qualifier Round 1
- August 21st: Qualifier Round 2
- August 28th: Opening Round
- September 4th: Quarter & Semi Finals
- September 11th: Grand Finals
Registration in the first round is offered to all participants on a first come, first registered basis. Although registration for the first round is full, you may wait standby to replace a no show and still compete in the first qualifier round.
Tournament Rules:
GENERAL SETTINGS
- Game type: 1v1
- Victory Points: 500
- Starting Location: Allies (1 or 2), Axis (3 or 4)
TOURNAMENT ELIMINATION
- Opening rounds: Single elimination
- Quarters & Semi-Finals: Best of 3
TOURNAMENT CHECK-IN
- Players must check-in before the start of the tournament in order to participate
- Check-in will open 30 minutes before tournament start time
- Only checked-in players will be seeded into the tournament bracket
MATCH CHECK-IN
- Once paired with an opponent, both players are required to check-in. Once a player checks in, the opponent will have 15 minutes to also check-in or they will automatically forfeit the match.
- Once both players have checked in, they are required to use the PRIVATE CHAT feed located on their Match Page to communicate with their opponent and set up the match.
- Once the match is ready to start, one or both players must report in the PRIVATE CHAT feed that the match has begun.
**IMPORTANT**
IF THESE STEPS ARE NOT FOLLOWED, THE MATCH MAY BE TREATED AS AFK IN WHICH THE LOWER BRACKET PLAYER WILL AUTOMATICALLY FORFEIT THE MATCH
Regardless if you have coordinated with your opponent and stated your match, if you do not check-in for each match on Battlefy before it starts, you will automatically forfeit your match and be dropped from the tournament. In other words, if you do not check-in for each match-up, regardless of the results of the match, it will count as a forfeit.
SCORE REPORTING
After each match, both players are required to report who won in the match’s PRIVATE CHAT feed on Battlefy. Any disputes will be handled by a Tournament Moderator who may require a replay of the match for review. The Tournament Moderator has final say regarding all match disputes.

MAP VETOES
Before each match, players will take turns vetoing maps until only one map remains. This can be done via Steam chat, in-game lobby chat or in a matches PRIVATE CHAT feed on Battlefy. The only exception to this will be during game #2 of a best of 3 series where the map from game #1 must be played.
FACTION & MAP SELECTION
Single Elimination rounds:
- Winner of the coin toss gets first pick of faction
- Map is determined the map veto system. Loser of coin toss gets first map veto.
Quarters & Up:
- 1st Match: Winner of coin toss gets first pick of faction.
- Map determined through veto system; loser of coin toss gets first veto
- 2nd Match: Players swap factions (Allies to Axis & vice versa) and play on the same map as the 1st match
- 3rd Match (if applicable): The player with the best Victory Point score after two matches gets first pick of faction
- Map determined through veto system; loser of coin toss gets first veto
Grand Finals
- The grand finals are a best of 5 series, the following rules apply:
- 1st Match: Winner of coin toss gets first pick of faction.
- Map determined through veto system; loser of coin toss gets first veto
- 2nd Match: Players swap factions (Allies to Axis & vice versa) and play on the same map as the 1st match
- 3rd Match: The player with the best cumulative Victory Point score after two matches gets first pick of faction
- Map determined through veto system
- Lower VP player gets first map veto
- 4th Match (if applicable): The player with the best cumulative Victory Point score after three matches gets first pick of faction

Milestone Rewards:
• A custom faceplate will be created for the 1st, 2nd and 3rd place competitor in the tournament to commemorate their achievement in the competition.
• A community t-shirt designing competition will be ran to choose up to 3 unique CoH2 themed t-shirt designs. The winning designers will receive a t-shirt for each winning design.
o A total of 150 t-shirts will be produced and given away to War Paint Contributors via random draws and broadcasted on Relic’s Twitch channel (i.e. winners are drawn on various live Twitch streams).
o Please note that the random draws will continue beyond the end of the War Paint tournament and at Relic’s discretion.

Game Director Quinn Duffy (#TeamDuffy) will take on Executive Producer Greg Wilson (#TeamWilson) in an all-out, best of 3 CoH2 battle royal. Streamed live on Relic’s Twitch channel and casted by none other than your favorite casting duo, this is one epic match-up you will not want miss.
• Once this Milestone is reached, tune into Relic’s next Twitch stream for your chance to win 1 of 20 commanders that will be given away through the stream.

This trip includes flight, hotel, expenses and celebration dinner after the tournament put on by Relic.
