How the ESL faction picking logic works, and why it isn't as bad as you first think:

Looks good. I think its much better solution that mirrors, that players never play and are not trained for. Random positions is also not that much of a deal, on some maps it is important but knowing this players probably wont choose such maps. The only problem I can see is the cold tech. All the other settings simulate ladder, the enviroment most players are best accustomed to, but that one negates that thesis, I hope they will change this one.

I still try figuring out what events are included in this CoH2 ESL thing. What is the difference between ESL Open and ESL Major?

There is an european and a north american division as far as i understand it. Both contain a Ladder (with no end date?) and a bunch of Cups, which seems to be seen some of tournament?

So where will the replays be uploaded?
