Everybody, please stop with the name-calling immediately. You know how much we don't want to moderate your posts, but if you continue, we will.

I think we're not talking about the same thing, or you didn't actually understand my last post and I can't help that. Either way it's not constructive, and I can't argue with you without you getting mad and throwing insults around, so I'm out.

funny thing is, you started changing topic of conversation, first i said that Soviet were lacking with good generals after Great Purge, and i don't know why dafuq you said that Gieorgij Zhukov was terrible (conclusion from my post or what?). When i said that a General was a priority in army commanding you started some shit talk about generals checking permimeter or scouting, sending scouts

dude srsly, l2read

Dude you came up in an argument about whether Russians were able to secure a perimeter or not with your history lesson about Russian generals. I never denied they were lacking generals and that they are important because it's not the point of the discussion. I didn't expect you to miss the point from the very beginning, I'm sorry.

Twister and Chillty: really?! Stop this now. We won't tolerate this kind of attitude from our staffers, if you have something to say each other use PMs. You both have a PM in fact.

Band of Brothers is just the most unrealistic series i've ever seen in my life. Just a group of guys running around killing a bunch of elite SS without almost taking a single casultie.. They would all have been slaughtered irl. 3/6 overrated movie if you go in the depth.
Pacific 6/6

they were hardly elite by then

Those that say that actual war is chaos haven't seen a full on flame war were everyone is arguing different points and insulting each other while doing it. :p Was a nice article, and some hilarious comment. Two thumbs up!

The Reichstag is my favorite building in Berlin. It's history is unbelievable. It has been destroyed and rebuilt many times. The building that stands currently is beautiful, with Norman Foster's glass dome (1993-1999) on the top to represent "transparency" in government. You can look down from the dome into actual sessions of Parliament. It's free to visit (with an appointment made on the internet) and you get a great view of the entire city. There is a black and white photo history of the building at the ring of the dome, showing the Reichstag at its time of completion in the late 1800s, it burning in 1933, it destroyed at the end of WW2, it sitting as a decrepit ruin throughout the coldwar, famous speeches in front of it by German political activists, by Kennedy and then later by Reagan, and it's reconstruction after the reunification of Germany. What a tumultuous history for one building!

It is a beautiful building indeed. I only saw it from the outside when I was in Berlin several years ago. Next time I visit Berlin I'll definetly go see it :)
