Excellent work, thanks for making this. How about a history lesson on infantry doctrine during WW2 for Germany?

Hey man, very good stuff. Interesting to read and pictures are nice.

Although I'm not writer myself or don't have any experience what so ever (on that field), I have small feedback here. I noticed that there was a small recycling of words at the end. Here is what I mean:

"Due to its small chassis, it was a very efficient assault gun in urban combat and was well-liked by the Soviet infantrymen."

"In the Soviet Army, the SU-76 was highly liked by both crews and infantrymen because of its simplicity, reliability, and ease of use."

I know that on the bottom there are different meanings but something I noticed.

Anyways, good stuff and waiting for the next vote!

Very nice article. Could penetrate panther's side armor? Wanna see that in the game.

The ZiS-3 on the SU-76 was the exact same gun as on the ZiS-3 field gun we have in game (surprise, surprise). Staling said to the ZiS-3's designer that: "your gun saved Russia". It wasn't great but it wasn't terrible either and it could certainly deal with a Panther's side armour...

One thing about open crew compartment: communication with infantry is imortant and that was one of SU-76 biggest advantages but it wasn't the reason to remove the top plate. The problem was much bigger: the gun was huge for such a small vehicle and had short reload time, thats why ventilation system was just not able to supply crew with fresh air (lots of gases were produced by the gun). They tried to improve it but tests showed that the only way is to make an open vehicle, then, after producing tons of it they realised other advantages.
