Relic's "Western Front Armies" join Company of Heroes 2

Relic Entertainment's Quinn Duffy and Greg Wilson took part in the EGX Rezzed Event in Birmingham and revealed the next phase of Company of Heroes 2, stand-alone release called "The Western Front Armies". But not only words were spoken, they also showed exclusive Alpha Gameplay video footage. Here is the entire twitch VOD, hot off the press.



The two minute video of Alpha Gameplay footage revealed the introduction of some new units such as the U.S. Army paratroopers, Sherman tank, P-47 Thunderbolt (with the ability to shoot rockets), Jagdtiger, Panzer II "Luchs" and the star of the show - Sturmtiger heavy assault gun!

The developers have also mentioned that the players will not have to purchase both factions, allowing you to go to the battlefield with the army of your choice. You won't need the basic game to play the Western Front, either. The US pricing sees each army costing $12.99, with the bundle available for $19.99, available in June, 2014. That means that the entry price point for Company of Heroes 2 just got lowered significantly! We should see a big influx of players automatching multiplayer! This will be great for the E-sports potential of the franchise.
