Master League 2: The Commander Terminator

Yesterday, at 06:30 hours, a strange electrical pulse was detected outside of Relic headquarters in Vancouver. At 09:30 hours, the former governor of California, Arnold Schwarzenegger boarded a direct flight to Frankfurt am Main airport. Witnesses reported the former governor not saying much, but frequently repeated “I’m looking for Luvnest”. Upon landing in Frankfurt, a gruesome discovery was made: Only Mr. Schwarzenegger left the aircraft alive. Unfortunately, he eluded capture, but a sanitation worker that encountered the former governor told police and reporters that Mr. Schwarzenegger demanded his uniform and said “I’m looking for Luvnest. No more Osttruppen”. Authorities have yet to determine what any of this means.

Oddly enough, Mr. Schwarzenegger greeted agents of the Federal Bureau of Investigation at his California ranch at 20:00 hours. As a precautionary measure, the second biggest Austrian superstar since Hitler (the first being fashion designer Brüno) was taken into custody. It has been reported by the Daily Mail that film director James Cameron was summoned to an emergency session of the UN Security Council to brief officials on the matter. Coh2.org has yet to independently verify Mr. Cameron’s involvement.







The second event of the CoH Master League is coming to you on August 22nd 2020. This event will be much more brutal and much less forgiving than the first tournament, Man lebt nur Zweimal. The tournament is single elimination and any commander can only be used once per player per tournament. Not per match, not per round, but across both weekends of the event.

This format will provide for an interesting twist on non-meta tournaments or commander veto tournaments. It’s expected that the highest seeded players will have a soft handicap in the earlier rounds, as they will need to save some of the strongest commanders for last whereas lower-seeded players will attempt to score upset victories with some of the best commanders for their strongest faction.

As with all Master League events, Commander Terminator will feature a mix of competitive automatch maps from Relic in addition to community made & community tested maps to keep things fresh. You can view the announcement video here.

With a prize pool of $2150 USD, this tournament is guaranteed to get every player performing at their very best. If the success of the previous tournament is anything to go off of, we are going to get to see many ace games in every round. Check out the brackets to follow the tournament progress live.
