@Con, how much of an effect would you say the 1/2 capping speed has on Ostruppen? I mean, some, but I'd hardly say they're not OP any more as a result of it. Can't imagine it changing the VODs very much.

Not sure how it affects them in this build, other then slowing them down abit, but I know it slows down ostruppen super fast tech builds alot that where op in the last patch, haven't seen any since the patch came out. From what I have seen of hans using the Ostruppen on his stream it looks fine, atm if anything it is a bit weak spamming them like he does in this strat.

Feels like it would take away one of their biggest early game advantages - the extra territory that you're able to control with the extra capping power. I guess they still cap quicker, sort of, because you can cap 6 points at once and cut down on travel time. But it doesn't seem like it'd be crazy significantly faster than just capping with Grens. Might be a needed nerf though - at least early game.

My issue is really that two Ostruppen squads deal more damage (when in cover) and have more effective health than a grenadier squad, in addition to being able to occupy twice as many buildings, capping twice as many points simultaneously, being far less vulnerable to snipers etc etc. And they can still build trenches while capping in enemy territory, and then hold/cap a point inside a trench.
I kind of feel if you're able to have twice as many units on the field, they really need to be much less cost-effective than Ostruppen are, and in 2v2 they seem even more problematic on some maps (there was one recently where Von Ivan literally put an Ostruppen squad in every building on the map, in a 2v2 against two good players).
I don't really see why the sort of strat Ginnungagap was doing last strat (against players like Wings, for instance) would now be much harder on account of the capping change.
