Good guide. However, I swear I did a list of SP/Ardennes assault abilities for this aswell. Seems it didnt make it.
We discussed it during pre-release stage, and agreed, that Ability Guide aimed to help people in Multiplayer.
I think SP/AA stuff deserves a separate guide. Because your work was really big and cool!

Now you have two 'different', but really just the same guide which is just confusion really, and killing the first one w/ all the views and posts it got that i also spent hours of blood and tears on searching the stats and the format.. mostly alone btw
even the opening notes referencing me are still the same lol like can someone tell me what was the point of remaking the post itself from scratch? can the site not handle updates anymore?
just update the original and add the credit from the new editors repost the guide front page. Considering the edit guide screen is basically if not literally the same as the new guide screen...(i know this very well) im pretty butthurt at how this was handled
When did coh2.org become EA? adding like 5 "new" things and reskinning old stuff as NEW NEW NEW
Not gonna file a lawsuit or anything but man does this feel wrong to me.

im happy you guys finally updated this, but not gonna lie it kinda feels messed up that this is still mostly the old work and formatting, even with the updated abilities this is still more or less mostly a 80% if not more or less a copy pasta of the first guide. except now theres actually no credit to me, or even the original EDITORS or artist anywhere anymore. no way u guys added (Updated 2019) in paint and imply you made the original art like cmon now

Your point has a base, and i can imagine how it seems like. But me and guys didn't even planned to overshadow your previous work or insult/offence you in any way. I believe that's the reason why your guide, as important part of .org history, stayed unhidden.
On the other hand, your position seems like we just copypaste your guide, and that's not correct. I will not speak for co-authors, only for myself, but it was hard-time for me too, because my skills are limited in several areas. I spent a lot of time to make visual section as best as possible, with correct symbols, icons and etc. Moreover, i lurked patchnotes for last several years, to double-check and add new information.
I really feel sorry for you, but don't relativize work of me and colleges. It's definitely not "80% of copypasta". If you wanted to trigger me with this phrase - ok, you win, i was triggered.
Doesnt For Mother Russia have the exact same values like Valiant Assault now? +25% accuracy instead of +50%
According to patchnotes, which i was able to find, it was only nerfed in terms of armor bonus.
For Mother Russia
The ‘For Mother Russia’ ability is having its potency reduced due to how powerful it was compared to similar abilities.
- +100% Armour bonus removed.
- Duration from 60 to 45.
- Cost reduced from 100 to 70

Why would it be messed up to not include the people who haven't worked on this updated version?
At the top of the outdated guide, you'll find a link to the new. At the bottom of this one, left of the credits, you'll find the link to the old. What is confusing here?
You sound upset, and a bit salty, for having not been included in the credits. As you should know, having been a Lead Strategist, is that site policy is not to update old guides without the input of its creators. Even then, a new version is prefered at times.
Planet Smasher was the one to take the charge of this project. If he did not contact you, he may have been considerate towards you. Perhaps thinking it would be a bother to you. I have not talked with him about this, but I find your behaviour rude, Cookiez.
This updated guide is for the community to have, hopefully, an up to date version of all the abilities in the game. Not to steal the glory of the past for ourselves. We may still have some way to go, as it seems we may have missed a few things, but we'll strive to fix those. And, to keep this updated for as long as we can.

.
No one contacted me and to assume i'd be too bothered(??) is just..
If you cant possibly understand why i'd be a little upset that a guide i spent a good chunk of hours on got pasta'd, doctored slightly and reposted as someone elses then sorry youve lost the plot. not a polite way to say that.
If for some reason yall still dont get that, when i did edit other ppls guides(veterancy for example) i made sure to credit myself for fixing it up because I get that its hard work to edit something thats old as dirt, never said i was unhappy with it being updated
but I also made DAMN sure to not take away THEIR credits because it was their guide to begin WITH. When did yall forget thats kind of a serious thing?

Do you not understand the meaning of the words "may" and "perhaps"? You are assuming what I suggested may be the case, was the case. Despite, in the very same paragraph, I tell you I haven't talked to Planet Smasher about this. For all I know, the thought of contacting you may not have struck his mind. It has been a while since you were on staff.
That does not excuse your behaviour. Think about it for a while, Cookiez. Put your emotions away for a moment if you can. I understand that you are upset. You put a good chunk of your time in for the original guide. But why then, is it that you seem unable to understand that the current staff did the same?
We haven't extensively edited the old guide, Cookiez. We made a Mark 2.0 version. The old one still has its credits intact. You seem to see these two as the same guide. In my mind they are seperate.
The people who worked on the Mark 2.0 version were given credit. Some of the old content were copy pasted, as you may have noticed in the FAQ section, but that does not equal work for this one. This too is a seperation.
That is the policy I am going with. Had we hidden the old one, then thanks would be given in this one. But we haven't done that. The old one is still visible. It is, as I said, linked to at the bottom.
This is why I find your arguments about stealing credits hollow.
Again, I understand that you are upset. You see the Mark 2.0 version as a copy paste of your work and you feel entitled to have credit. That you have. The work you did can still be seen. We have made no claims to take that from you.

Blendkorper grenades will deal damage to infantry. It will disable weapons on any vehicle within the smoke, but only for as long as the vehicle remains there, unlike USF riflemen smoke."
Rifleman doesn't have a smoke anymore.

It is obvious to me that upon comparing the original to this "2.0" version CookiesNCream should have his credits re-added an author, perhaps jointly with the person who has added new text and made edits, but certainly not omitted.

The stormtrooper one says they gain 150% burst length while moving (implying they don't get it while stationary?), but I was always under the impression it was the opposite: you'd get the bonus when you were stationary only. I could be totally wrong, I'm just asking to see how it works and not trying to disprove the guide or anything just to be clear. And is the paratrooper one the same ability exactly or is there any sort of difference between the bonuses they get?
