oh whoops I also left the part where you can jump into a replay and take control
and I forgot to tell people how to spectate
or load replays from older versions
or check the stats screen at the end of a replay to see build orders and resource usage
or see both players' resources at once in a replay
oh right

Production tab for both players, units lost stats in real time, resources spent, obs layout for broadcasters, re-start game from replay for tournaments, ability to see everywhere a player looks and clicks. How long are you in town? I can go on ...

I really miss the option where you can hide the progression bar. Really spoils it when one team has an advantage and you notice the replay bar is almost depleted

I'd love it if you could hide that entire box that sits above the GUI on the right hand side; progress bar, speed settings, floating italic text, and all.

Yes indeed. Some shoutcasters, like myself and TFN for instance, cover up the progress bar, but that's not as good because it still blocks the screen. Honestly when it comes to watching a replay the times that you want a progress bar are probably way less common than the times you don't want one, especially because we can't rewind a replay or jump to a point on the progress bar...

Tried to open them in VLC like a twat and now when I go into Coh to watch them they don't show up seen as my PC recognises them as a VLC file, any ideas on how to fix it?
(Sorry for the necro)

Heh weird. If you right click on one of them can you change the file association? You just wanna remove VLC. I used to associate my .rec files so they would automatically open with the Replay Analyzer (when it was up-to-date), and that never stopped the game from seeing them.

the association to VLC should really have no impact on the ability of the game to play the replays (unless vlc actually harmed in some way the content of the file).
most probably you can't see them cause the game got patched and you can only play replays made with the installed version

hi guys,
Im new here and would like to watch some downloaded replays but it seems I do not have a playback folder in my coh2 folder. When I start coh2 and go to replays it seems my saved replays are all gone too. Has this something to do with the latest update of the game?
Thanks
