Aside from Linux being better or worse than Windows 10, do macOS users(if any ) face the same problem. If I recall correctly Coh2 for macOS and Linux by Feral Interactive got introduced when 64bit came.I understand that Coh2 was released in 2013 and player base has remained consistent(so mostly Windows users), but it defects point of introducing it in other OS if it is not cross compatible.If there are some other(additional) steps, like manually joining servers or something please share. I would like to propose the weapon upgrade for wehr elite inf(Pgren).
Pgrenz could recieve an elite MG34 LMG(like obers) and 3xkars(locks out all weapons slots) for 80 or 85 muni
and their combined arms(vet1) could be changed for suppressive fire or firing positions(similar to guards or cons).
Upgrade could be available after BP2 researced or T3 built.
This upgrade could be bundled with stun nades in Elite troops doc.
I think wehr is the only faction which does not have elite LMGs so, this could be a good addition.
Also, the changes to Luftwaffe supply doc are awesome and I think mabye Close air support doc could recieve cluster bombs
a.k.a butterfly bombs.

I would like to propose the following changes for SpecOps doc.
The OKW SpecOps doc is likely to recieve the changes in it's two abilities namely Radio Silence(RS) and the recon flares.
I would like to suggest the following changes:
Option 1:
-The radio silence instead of being 1 click ability could be changed into a click and cast ability like wehr sector arty
(i don't know how sec arty determines the no. of sector it needs to fire arty at) except it could be casted in both enemy or
friendly sectors. The OKW units will not be visible in the affected sector, but visible in other sectors that are not affected.
-The flares could be tied to a recon unit or command panther.
Option 2:
-In place of recon flares one can add stormtroppers(ST)(infiltration unit which would fit well with the theme of the doc imo),
spawed with MP40s same as wehr ST(don't know about vet4&5, maybe sprint& vet5 panter sight bonus respectively).
-This unit can be upgraded with recon package(limited to 1) that may callin flares.
-This unit can plant beacons, which when planted on sector(s) will hide the units when RS is active(I think this would promote planing and will create more tacticool use of the ability and search&destory operation).
Also,if option 2 is considered I think ST should not get bonus speed when RS is active(that sprinting camo unit would
advocate more nerfs imo) and if they are considered for IRSTGs upgrade(i think they should be, but ST with STGs are contoversial
so I will leave it) they should not get tactical advance instead they should get suppresive fire like obers.
Overall, imho RS at it's present state should be nerfed but, if any these changes are considered only cost of RS should be nerfed,
not the duration or the sprint. Also, flare while being unconterable recon is a actually unique to this commander and think it
should not go away.

I agree with thedarkarmadillo's opinion that as long as jackson TD is a doc unit there is no need for any
speacialized shermans. But, let's say (just my opinion) if jackson was replaced by M10 TD, then I certainly
think speacialized sherman(premium stock medium) will add and diversify the USF late game.
So, imagine this:
Jackson is replaced by M10(stock as mentioned)
Sherman76mm is replaced by Jackson(in Mechanized commander)
M10 is replaced by Jackson(in Amour company commander)
Sherman76mm becomes a stock premium medium(maybe after a side tech)
PS: This only my opinion. I am not an expert player. I have no idea if it play fine if at all implemented.

I think instead of Puma(234-2) ac it should be replaced by 234-1 ac (the one with auto-cannon).
The 234-1 can the can then be upgraded to 234-2(Puma), similar to Coh1.
The reasons being :
1) Even with changes to the doctrine 5cp to unlock it imo too much and by that time it will be facing medium tank which it cannot fully match.
2) Puma itself with OST currently costs 270mp & 70fuel. By going for 234-1
and then upgrading to 234-2 would be a gradual investment, but more importantly
the unit will be having better impact as to 222 ac.
My suggestion:
1) Replace 234-2(Puma) with 234-1 ac, available at 2cp(I guess), buildable after T2 built or above.
2) C.PIV with Puma upgrade package , available at 4or5cp(I guess).
As for cost of 234-1 be 250mp & 50fuel and Puma upgrade be 70mp & 20fuel.(I guess?)
Total cost= 320mp & 70fuel similar to OKW Puma.
P.S: I am not a very good Coh2 player(noob) having less than 600hr of playing experience.
So, if my idea seems bad or impossible please feel free to discard this. |
