Thread: Poll: Do Soviets need a major faction redesign?8 Nov 2014, 14:51 PM Here's an idea. Tell me what you think. In CoH1 the USA had a brake on teching called the Suppy Yard. You had to build this to be able to build T3 and T4. So Soviets could have something similar. A new building wouldn't be necessary, it could just be an upgrade in their HQ. (Call it 'Escalation' or something, and borrow an icon from the German HQ. They won't mind.) The point is, this would allow the cost and time to build Soviet T3 and T4 to be reduced. The first one built would cost the same in resources and time, but the second would be much cheaper, which allows a greater variety in late game. How's that? In: COH2 Balance
Thread: Can we buy back lost PTRSs?8 Nov 2014, 14:42 PM I know they're a bit rubbish, and you don't alwys want them back. But sometimes you do, and it would be nice to get them back without having to go back to where you lost it and hope it's still there. Say about 30MU? Half a schreck? Is that reasonable? Thread: About bouncing bodies...15 May 2014, 17:46 PM I don't think they'd have to re-do the animations, as the problem isn't the animation iself but what happens to the model after it plays. Sniped soldiers can end up sunk into the ground or even slightly above it, because they don't ragdoll. That could be as simple as changing 'true' to 'false' for all I know.(Shouldn't they only ragdoll from explosions?) Anyway... it's up to Relic what to to with the information I suppose. Thread: About bouncing bodies...15 May 2014, 17:21 PM I've noticed that it doesn't happen to troops that get killed by snipers. They fall down and stay down. What seems to be happening is that dead soldiers are falling down and ending up with parts of their bodies below ground level, and the ground then 'throws' them out. Sniper victims do this too, but for some reason they aren't thrown out and just lie down, so maybe if all death animations do whatever the 'sniped' death animations are doing, the bodies won't bounce about like inflatables. I realise this isn't the most pressing concern, but I thought I'd share that in case Relic don't already know. In: COH2 Bugs

Thread: Exploding windows etc.28 Feb 2014, 23:32 PM I've set a great deal of buildings in my map to have damaged accessories (broken windows and things, basically) but the map doesn't start with them damaged. Instead, all the windows blow out the instant the game starts. I also have some supporting walls with WallDestroy on which violently explode. Is there any way to inflict the damage before players can see it happen? In: Mapping Discussion
