You can't take a stance on something you know nothing about (though a lot of people like to think they can). This brings me to a question about this thread, which is what would be the purpose of making this change? just for the sake of people that want to build t34/85's out of a building? Is having them be a call in actually a problem with the game that needs to be fixed? well, the fact is , is that soviets dont really have a solid medium tank except the t-34/85 which is locked in 3 doctrines. The t-34/76 is a battering ram and its okay againts infantry, but againts tanks, its completely useless. Then again, i heard things will change in the next patch. So if they make the t-34/76 an actual tank then i will be happy too. In: COH2 Balance

T34/85 was only given to Guards Elite battalion and later stages of the war it was a standard issue to newly form battalion or replacement battalions.Even till the end of the war, T34/76 was still largely in the red army armor formation. In parts of historical accuracy, Relic got that one right but for the soviet tank vs german tank ratio, they got it wrong. (2) I do agree ostwinds should not be non-doctrinal vehicle. Either replace it with wirbelwind or just give germans to build static 3.7cm flakgun like vCOH. Yes, i do know that t-34/76 was still used extensively until the end of the war and that the t-34/85 did not completely replace it. However, unlike the t-34/85 (which actually feels like a tank in game), the t-34/76 doesn't even feel like a tank in game. It can't do reliable damage againt's anything. It can barely dent tanks,and its "decent againts infantry". I don't like that. the t-34 is used as a battering ram. I hate that. That said, i heard the t-34/76 is getting a considerable buff but also a cost increase next patch, which sounds very good indeed. In: COH2 Balance

Either that or t-34/85 should replace the t-34/76 in the T3 building. I honestly don't understand this game... 44 ostwinds were built, yet they are non doctrinal, a few hundred brummbaars were built. 22000 t-34/85s were built during the war. Yet they are doctrinal and are available only in 3 doctrines. 1300 tigers were built , yet they are present in nearly 1/2 of all german doctrines. In: COH2 Balance

If you can convert one into another then i also want to be able to convert my tigers into panthers, and my stugs into elephants. In: COH2 Balance

It's really stupid to just assume that all Americans are ignorant about the Eastern front like everyone does especially Russians. Ironically, there are Americans that knows a lot more about it then the Russians that claimed to be superior on the subject. Pretty strange considering American's weren't part of the front apart from Lend Lease, but that's what Soviet propaganda does to people. How did this happen? I would make another thread on that but this isn't a history site. As for your comment for saying that we should be "grateful" nothing has changed apart from conscripts becoming seemingly useless because people just don't adapt to these changes. Tank combat is still the same, Soviet heavies easily destroy German infantry while German tanks have to get rid of the resilient Soviet heavies in order to achieve victory. The most powerful weapons of the Soviet early game is left unchanged apart from the M3 scout car which is still pretty powerful. Soviet mines still wipe out German infantry, and Soviet mortars still one shot kill German weapon teams and infantry. Soviet shock troopers are still powerful, you just have to use them differently instead of making suicidal charges which worked so well before this patch. They kill infantry a lot faster up close so use them for close quarters combat only. People complaining that Germans are OP are really just not using the Soviets right. So don't expect us to thank you for playing Soviets, just play the game. according to you, even relic does not how to play soviets Relic developers have stated multiple times, that soviets are WAY behind in all stages of the game early,mid, late.. It's just a parody and makes fun out of both sides. It's horrible and it's an insult to both sides, both german and soviet. Yuck yuck yuck. I'd rather watch some old 1960-80 soviet war film . I can't understand why they can't make a single movie where it shows actual conventional millitary tactics being used. All movies have to have some kind of hollywood bullshit in them. They are now a more difficult to play faction and need some small balance buffs. Hopefully Relic won't ruin even more the balance after next patch. they need small balance buffs for the early game. Mid-late game soviets are still way behind. The only unit that is too powerfull is the KV-8,however that is anti -infantry. They said that IS-2 and ISU-152 will lose some AI in exchange for AT, and t-34 will get damage buff to 160. But they said that all vehicles got some changes. In: COH2 Gameplay
