So... You saw CAS and still went for B4?
Give us a replay. |
It won't.
While its possible to shoot down the plane, its extremely unlikely that it will be done before it unloads its payload on target.
Even loitering planes, 100% of them deliver first strike.
AA is made to counter these loitering planes, its completely useless against single passes, excluding soviet fuel drop which makes no sense.
And this is why I said, Im not sure about this, but I was almost certain that AA is useless vs single strafe.
In fact AA units vs CAS give bonus for OST player since he can get kamikaze plane after strafe. |
I like idea of crits from howitzer's shells instead of a damage increase.
% for each crits like shock, engine damage, heavy engine damage, immobilize or main gun destroyed or... nothing, just damage but the first shell should get extra % to inflict a crit.
It would force to use combined arms. Crits on tank and flank with T34 or something like that. |
USF > AA Halftrack > Vet 1 ability > Anti Aircraft mode = CAS useless Japan faction with kamikaze RNG planes
Fixed that
Also Im not sure if AA will kill anything before strafe. |
which leads to -1 combat unit being on field to any other faction.
Explain me, how 1 RE & 2 RF at 0:58 and 1 Eni & 2 Grens at 1:03 is not equal if we are talking about units on the field? |
About stucking/pathfinding issue...
For example, Semosky, north spawn.
We have narrows passage to get to the city.
If you take 3 Jacksons under one hotkey and order them to move to the city, they will move in a line behind each other. OK.
Now let's order them to reverse and they won't reverse one by one.
First one, the closest to the passage will reverse but 2 of them will try to look for another path/rotate cause this one is blocked by reversing Jackson.
Point is, how it's different from moving forward?
If you can move forward one by one, why you can reverse like that?
If your Panther or Tiger will rotate for 3-4 seconds it will survive.
But for Jackson or Sherman it means death. |
Vehicle crew means nothing if the USF player has to constantly repair his/her tanks due to Axis heavy AT (especially late game heavy armor with high DPS). Another reason why USF has difficulty late game because of no heavy armor to absorb damage from Heavies while infantry can engage Shrek squads.
This.
It's like, 1 shot from Sherman and then 20-40sec for repairs.
Jackson may be powerful but the penetration... Once my 3 Jacksons fired two times at Panther (6 shots) and all bounced
On narrow maps Jackson has no place. Jadgpanzer counters Jackson without any problems. And what left then? Bazookas? |
See this exit? Well it's not exit, it's 152mm AP shell that went through turret. Not just destroyed side of the turret but went on the other side.
King Tiger vs 152mm AP.
|
ML20 was able to make "escape way out" in side of a turret of KT. And I mean it. Perfect penetration. Of course it was not front armor but arty is not shooting front, rather top.
Here ml or le arę useless against tanks. |
If we are talking about AA mechanic, I would love to see some kinf of Air commander with, let's say, 150muni loaded fighter which would shoot down any plane that comes in.
It would be risky, cause you never know if it'll be just a Recon or maybe AT strike or maybe your enemy won't use any plane, but Id love to see something like that. |
