The Pershing would be fine to be added IMO, but shouldn't be in a commander for the same reasons the KT shouldn't. Everyone would just take that commander and nothing else. The Jumbo could be a interesting late game call in, maybe price it the same as a KV1? They are essentially the same tank. Yes but you don't see the point. For example, Calliope or the one with flamethrower. They are Shermans but they are different. Right now we have only thicker armor or better gun. It's boring like hell. For example, we have 3 KV tanks but they are all different. Damage sponge, assault gun and flamethrower. All are different. Sherman Jumbo would be just Sherman with thicker armor, that's all and we already have many Shermans that are not so different from each other. And the KV1 sometimes is useful but if you erase B4 from that doctrine, Im telling you that you will never see KV1 again. Same would be for Jumbo. In: Lobby

Let's look how many unit factions have to deal with late game units. IS2, T34/85, ISU, B4, SU85. Tiger, Elephant, Panther, Tiger Ace, Pak43. Panther, Sturmtiger, Jadgpanzer, King Tiger, Jadgtiger, Pak43. Jackson, Easy Eight and P47 Heavy unit for USF or someother late-game AT stuff is needed. In: Lobby

I would say it should be somewhere between. 14-17min KT in teamgames is not something good. Doctrinal with 11CPs but still tech is needed to call it. This way you would avoid 15min late game units and still they would be tied to tech. But that's just one of many ways yet we know very well that such chages wont take place In: Lobby

But COH 2 Takes place on WWII and in that conflict the Pershing stats wise a straight equal to the Tiger I and no one will deny that was a heavy tank. It's not so easy when you dig. Of course, Im not arguing it was used like IS2 or Tiger. That's fact but Pershing was very specific unit and you can find sources where someone is calling it heavy tank while someone else, somewhere else medium or both at once (like Panther, it was medium for Germans but heavy for Allies). In fact it was designed from medium tanks base, recalled as heavy during war and after war agan renamed to medium. Also all tank made on a base of Pershing were mediums. It was designed to do medium stuff with extra abilities to do heavy things. But this is not history channel and Pershing is so interesting unit that we could talk about it for a very long time We can agree that in game it would be heavy tank like Tiger and no one is arguing about that. It would be more reasonable. And yes, it should be able to penetrate Axis heavies as Panther and Tiger should be able to penetrate it too, and have decent damage on infantry. KT should be clearly superior though. Pershing and Jackson coming from same tier would lead us to the most scary axis dream, Pershing+Jackson combo. On the other hand, doctrinal Pershing would not do that. I mean, yes, you still ccould go for T4 and get a Jackson but I guess more often we would see Lt+Cpt into Pershing. It has better accuracy on move (gyro stabilizer) and unlike to late game german tanks, electrical turret. Man gun was able to penetrate front armor of Panther which is documented. Let's keep in mind, Pershing is not heavy tank. It's 3tons lighter than Panther. I've been seeing more and more IS-2 doctrines going around which make Tigers not so viable anymore so I thought about trying out elefant doctrines again. The one with stuka,scopes and elefant could be even better for B4 commander aswell. Does the halftrack mine still immobilize tanks? It does. In: Ostheer Strategies
