Thread: Pak 43 vs 17 Pounder Population costs.26 Dec 2015, 11:07 AM Since Cr4wler has some big issues with understanding the game, I mean, he compare Pak43 to sniper and 17 pounder to shocks I'm going to put it simple. 17 Pounder pros: Quicket rotation. Brace. Non doctrinal. Garrsion + flare. 17 Pounder cons: Cost. Pop cap. Cannot shoot through obstacles. Huge hit box. Countered by Elephnat or Jadgtiger. Heavy damage from fire. Can be destroyed by small arms. Pak 43 pros: Cheap Can shoot through everything. Pop cap. Can be decrewed* Cant be killed by At Gun when placed properly. Cannot be destroyed by fire. Cannot be destroyed by small arms. Pak 43 cons: Can be decrewed* Slow rotation. Doctrinal. *It's pro and con at once, why? It's con becasue opposite to 17 pounder you lose your crew to fire, but it's pro becasue you lose just a crew, not whole gun and you can easily recrew it later. ____ Please someone upgraded this list with stats aka penetration, reload etc. In: COH2 Balance

Both are anti infantry, both are infantry. One is stock, one is doctrinal. And that already is where the similarities end. 17pdr (like shocks, but unlike pak43) is a frontline unit. It can tank single units for literally minutes, even without brace. Pak43 is more of a long range, sniper like unit, which is why it has higher range and ignores terrain. Both units have entirely different uses (apart from both being AT), just like sniper/shock. If i were to argue that the sniper needs a buff because it has less hp, less dps, cannot self spot, is more expensive, costs more popcap (?) etc. people would call me crazy, and rightfully so. Considerably lowering popcap and/or cost of 17pdr will absolutely DESTROY teamgames. Emplacements already are cancer enough. Different uses? I mean, you use Pak 43 to kill tanks but you use 17 Pounder to what? Shoot confetti? In: COH2 Balance
Thread: BOOM! bulletin does not work?26 Dec 2015, 10:32 AM So I own 3 BOOM! bulletins. Each lower scatter by 3% so when combined, they should lower it for 9%. 9% is something and it should be noticed but I'm not sure if they work properly. First picture with 1:42 timer shows scatter without bulletins. Second picture with 0:46 shows scatter with triple bulletin, yet scatter is the same. Ok, but maybe it's just problem with shown scatter? Right? Circle does not show it properly but it works? Well, I dont think so. 3 shells(in fact 4 but it hit in the same spot) are out of the normal scatter so if the scatter was lower by 9% shells should not land so far. In: COH2 Bugs
Thread: B-426 Dec 2015, 10:05 AM So I put 1 volks squad and used B-5 against them into fog of war. Results: I was amaing at the green cross. Red crosses are places where shell hit. Finy fact is, if I put them behind cover, the last (6th) shell wouldnt do anything, I mean, it killed 3 models becase they were spread out. If I put them behind cover and aim at them with the center of the scatter, they would be fine for the 6 shots In: COH2 Balance

Thread: B-425 Dec 2015, 20:17 PM I guess it's time to stop pretend that this unit is useful. It's complelty useless. The scatter is so huge, it makes it impossible to aim at anything. Just pray to RNG God and maybe you will hit something. This unit needs different approach. I figured out few ways. 1. Make it similar to Pak 43 with vet ability to shot like a howie. Slower rotation, slower reload, shoot through terrain, low AoE 240 damage, vet 1 ability like current barrage. 2. Keep it like now but make scatter smaller by 30% with veterancy about making it even smaller so vet 3 can barrage is not precision strike, but give you 40-60% chance to hit in the middle. 3. Lower damage, lower AoE and make it smiliar to ML-20, I mean, 3 shells, each 320 damage, keep the scatter. 4. Any other ideas? In: COH2 Balance
Thread: Panzerwerfer?25 Dec 2015, 20:01 PM After many games I need to change my opinion from Fine/OP to OP. This is freaking wipe machine. Sure, it should punish blob but is does not give a chance to survive for crew weapons. If yoy fought really well and gained vet 3 on mortars or at guns and you hear the rocket, it's impossible to run away even if you hit retreat at the same time. Katyusha should taken as an example of pefect mobile arty. Deadly, can be dodge, does not mean insta wipe. PzWerfer is deadly, almost impossible to dodge and means insta wipe. This thing needs nerf. Not because it kills blobs, but because it does not leave chance to save crew weapons. In: COH2 Balance
