hitler, I don't know how the tabulation is done, or what the difference between a drop and a dispute is. It hardly matters though, because the very idea of us using a DDOS is ludicrous. We don't care about stats beyond "huh, cool." We want to play. When someone drops, it's wasted our time, regardless of why. It's insulting that you seem to think that not only would we do that, but that I would lie to you about it here. As far as my drops being higher with Bix, I'm not surprised because it has happened more in the last year than previously, and in that time frame I've stopped playing with quite so many people. As a side note, I rent from someone else, I have no control over my ISP.
As far as people dropping against us, yes it happens all the time, I would say upwards of 60% of our games someone drops before the 15 minute mark. I have no idea what combination of lag, ragequits, or fear of the clantag it is, but it aggravates us to no end and makes it much harder to find satisfying games.
Let me be clear. Marowi dropping upset us. We WANT 40-60 minute games. We WANT a good fight. We're not stat whores, we're easily bored challenge chasers. We aren't celebrating when we win in less than 25 minutes. We are getting frustrated at the lack of challenge.
Marowi, funny thing is, from our perspective, you were getting the rep of someone who drops when they lose expensive units. We had no idea it was a lag problem. |
Hey, this is {F13}Jack. We didn't DDOS you. There is only one person in F13 who could even theoretically possess the knowledge of how to DDOS, and he gets really pissy when opponents drop from good games. We play for fun, and people bailing for whatever reason is not fun. Your friend lagged out. That has nothing to do with us. This game is notorious for that. Hell it happens to me a few times a week. And given that we use the same TS server that you do, this complaint strikes me as incredibly petty. Grow up. |
Not pay2win. The 3 commanders I see brought up here are easily countered if you know what you are doing:
How to counter Elite: Elite players are spending a lot of fuel on vetting, so if you can get vehicles out early you are at a big advantage. Focus on anti-infantry units for the first 5 minutes, and try to get total squad kills, it will severely hurt them.
How to counter Luftwaffe: Luftwaffe's primary edge is the endless supply of ammo it gets. I play Luft frequently, and will regularly stock up on ammo well before my airstrikes are available. So, don't let luft get ammo points. It's really that simple.
How to counter industry: Grenadiers first, Panzergrenadiers with schrecks second, panthers third. Focus on capturing ammo. Put mines everywhere. Find their repair depots and destroy them. if you see any infantry at all, kill it immediately.
Honestly the most overpowered doctrines are not these 3. They are the most radical ones, but the best? No. Shock Army is free and is arguably the best doctrine in the game, with the most powerful infantry unit and the best mortar available in the first couple minutes of the game, and the best airstrike late game.
What would I consider pay to win? Industry when it first came out, pre-nerf. If vetting with elite didn't cost fuel, or the Tiger Ace had no drawback. These doctrines are powerful, certainly, but in taking them you are committing yourself to a fairly narrow strategy that does have counters. Compare to Spearhead, which provides a well rounded set with no weaknesses. |
In 3v3 and 4v4 teamwork is everything. Choose doctrines which complement each other. The team I usually play with, we run Luftwaffe/Elite/Assault Support/Festung Support. This gives us augmented fuel and ammo, as well as more on demand, recon, 3 different airstrikes, Sector Arty, on-board Arty, a Tiger Ace and regular Tigers for our call ins. All 4 build tier 1, 3 build tier 2 (assault skips), 2 tier 3 (luft and festung skip), 2 tier 4 (elite and assault skip). Elite vets everyone as needed, luft supplies extra ammo, assault support builds trucks. For the most part, tier 2 is about stalling, since at this phase the Russians hold all the cards, having access to all their tier 1 call ins (Guards, Shocks, 120s), so your best bet is to avoid direct battle with the hordes of infantry and early vehicles Soviets can get with industry, and try to pick off whole units whenever possible. Always remember that tank for tank the Germans are better than the soviets, but Soviet numbers can overwhelm you. As before, try to isolate the Soviet tanks so they can't swarm you. Never underestimate the value of a well placed mine. |
