I believe that the Katyusha is fine. As Kreatiir and dasheepeh said, it is fine.
Perhaps there could be two salvos of 6 rockets rather than 3 salvos of 4. That's a nice compromise; that's it.
someone argued that rushing a Katy was good against blobs.
I guess that's true, but it was also extremely effective at sealing a Soviets v Ostheer game because when Ostheer is behind, they rely on team weapons, notably PaKs, for AT. When you could rush out a Katyusha there were so many games where it was impossible to hold a line because of a Katy. Ostheer don't have a light vehicle with enough durability to chase an enemy artillery vehicle behind the front line. 222 doesn't have the durability.
The katyusha seems worse because of its ninja nerfs (keep in mind that most axis squads are 4 men, not 5 or 6 like allies) and the later arrival. The later arrival means more infantry squads and team weapons at double/triple vet, making them more durable.
N.B: I remember watching a Relic stream or a video and the Katyusha's rocket pattern was addressed. The first 4 rockets tend to fire slightly farther while the next two salvos will launch their rockets closer. I can't cite that, as I don't recall when or where I saw the video, but to me, I take that as fact and often move infantry where previous rockets fired. There is an art to dodging artillery. No round or rocket will fall on the same spot twice.
YOu talking about WOT? I have played a few matches and liked it on XBOX but I am leary of Freemium games because I feel i will be at a disadvantage to those who will pay for premo items....what's the scoop?
Talking about Warthunder, Hannibal. WoT is literally pay to win with premium ammo that has superior pen to non-premium ammo.
In fact, if anything, I would like to see the munitions resource penalty reverted to 33%. A lot of OKW problems over the past year boils down to Relic's inexplicable decision to reduce munitions penalty.
Most notably there is the rise of the Schreck blob, which influences the meta to this day. (This is not to say that massing Volks with Schrecks didn't exist, just that it really, really hurt the OKW player economically to blindly rush that one strategy). Then of course the scavenge arty was abused so they nerfed that into oblivion as well. And we now have incendiary grenades performing so much better than molotovs, which would have been definitely easier to swallow if OKW munitions income was more severe.
Literally none of these problems would have happened if the munitions penalty stayed at 33%.
That is not to say OKW is in a stellar place right now - it isn't, especially with the LeIG crutch soon to be removed. Obviously I am not suggesting that muni penalty be restored to 33% of total without looking to fix the rest of the faction somehow, but that's another story.
Scavenge Arty was abused? As in, the radius is almost the same size as the USF base and if ~700 muni is saved a player could wipe a USF base?
Am I seriously the only one here that isn't just rolling in mp while playing okw? You people aren't spending your manpower on shit you need. There is always something worth manpower that okw could be using if hey can spare it.
no one checks the @enforcement address and I don't know if Relic wants to use the one they gave me for reporting hackers. That one seemed more for marketing and advisement than for hackers.
Someone should tell Kyle about the @enforcement address and check it every once in a while
Why does Relic not check it? Do they have any e-mail that they use for reporting hackers/cheaters?
The way Relic releases information regarding new content, patches, etc. can be confusing, frustrating, or, in the case of Twitch, lengthy.
When I look at War Thunder, I see written articles about new content, screenshots, in-depth scientific explanations, upcoming balance changes, etc.
Relic should do the same thing, where applicable. Releasing the patch notes is definitely a good thing, but having an article written by a balance manager, Qduffy, whoever at Relic explaining, in general some of the changes being made would be a good step towards people understanding some things. They could explain things like AoE, how cooldown, reload, and ready aim time interact, etc.
They don't have to release screenshots of shit, but an hour long twitch stream where one of the devs plays an absolute shit mod is frustrating.
The occasional blog post, Twitch stream, or whatever is frustratingly not easy to get information quickly or regularly.
Hell, I'd read a monthly update about Relic staff making jokes around the office, but so long as its on some sort of regular schedule not just 'whenever SEGA tells us we can release info and we have something that can be displayed visually'.
