Another half decent game. My partner and I are ranked 1,239 according to CELO vs Soviet (1,411) and USF (unranked)
In the early game I was aggressive on the opponents' cutoff and my buddy seemed to be struggling vs. the USF. He told me after that he had trouble with the mortar pit and he told me he upgraded to flamer HT to deal with captured MG42 in the house (don't know why - that was a poor choice of resource use). That was a communication issue, as I was going from cutoff to mid/trying to help him and stop the vp drain.

Here's a decent game. Looking for someone to give me and my buddy some tips/advice/what went wrong. Main culprit seemed to be the mortar emplacements.

I wish the prize pool would increase and the last two tiers would have something more than just "we pay for a couple nerds to come to vancouver".
Tell us there's a secret special surprise and have it be a DoWIII trailer or something. At least that. |
I think Budwise made a post a few years ago about there not being side tech in a lot of the factions and how it made him not like coh2.
I could see a 20 fuel 222 at 220 mp w/ a 50 mp/10 fuel 40 second side tech upgrade.
Honestly, I think Luvnest should make a mod to have ostheer be the 1941 blitzkrieg that he wants it to be. P3s should roam everywhere and it would be great.

Well, there could be people smurfing. It's pretty easy; just make a new steam account and do family sharing.
I've thought about it, trying to see how my 1v1 ranks/ win % would change in one certain patch, but I haven't gotten around to it yet.
There could be more people coming from coh1 (I played against Hulksmash sometime this year in coh2). The top 10 coh1 people shouldn't have any real issue w/ coh2 because the mechanics are so similar. It's just about being comfortable with the units and adjusting to build times and whatever.
Right now you can buy all 5 factions and all 3 ToW packs for $60 USD so that's a pretty good deal if you've been eyeing it for a while. |
In my experience it can be overwrite and lost alongside a lot of other bad messages such as announcing wipes or vehicle losses.

Not reading all of the posts here, and none in detail on the second page, but I can say to OP that I played a game as USF on Road to Kharkov against an OKW guy ranked 514 and he blobbed to my cutoff the first 3-5 minutes.
Had to get LT for an MG/suppression and, luckily, he was stupid coordinating his Luchs/infantry and i killed it with an AT gun/capt/rifle AT nades.
That being said, it would be great if everyone had an MG in T0 but then that would be boring af and not help w/ asymmetry.
I'm a firm believer that the faction design for OKW/USF is bad. It would be 10x easier for balance if all tech was linear (like Ostheer...hey, hey, hey!) with side-tech options like Panzer Elite/UKF in coh2.
I agree with whoever said the USF mortar should be a lighter version of itself (I believe that, at some point in an alpha, the US had a light 60mm mortar - that would be nice). Mortars hard counter MGs and USF nades are expensive fuel wise. I would like to see riflemen smoke @ 20 muni instead of 15 and a 60mm USF mortar w/ lower damage and AoE.
As Skemshead said above, USF (and all factions) should get non-doctrinal access to flamethrowers.
Man, I could go on and on about what each faction needs and what Relic should've done/should fix. The newer the faction the better the stuff (no white phosphorus for ost/sov; volks get an upgrade that prevents them from freezing to death, previously an important yet annoying aspect that required micro and attention; no AT in USF Lt. tier; no Wehrmacht light tank; crazy OP Brit off-map abilities...though they have been nerfed). |

You don't go in with your panther and try to hit the rear armor. You don't need to. "panther is underpowered" lolololol.

If I am reading sources correctly, the V-1's payload was 1000kg, about the same payload as Stuka Dive Bomb ability.
I'm 99% sure the divebomb tooltip says 50kg but they could've changed that.
