I'm all for a diverse array of vehicles and weapons to be added to the game.
That being said, they all ought to have a specific role or, at least, a specific timing with which they are strong and useful. A panzer III could easily be a slightly worse p4 and force a player to choose between a weaker tank now or a stronger tank later.
I'm also of the opinion that coh3 could be some kind of "ultimate" coh experience; a separate tuning pack and direct port of old factions could be worthwhile in certain cases (Panzer Elite, Soviets, OKW?) I'd also like to see some early war stuff. I'd love to see one or more factions that uses Dutch, Belgian, French, and British equipment/soldiers. You solve the tank technology issue by having different periods of action where the late war german faction cannot (at least in automatch) compete with the early war French faction. |
On the off-chance that someone from Relic reads this, I’d like to say that I do not want the heavy tank meta to return.
I’d be interested in having a lower tier of medium vehicles/tanks and then a final higher class of medium tanks.
The beauty of a game set in 1943 (I really do wish it was 1942, though) is that we get to avoid all of the late game monsters that were either allied prototypes or meth-fueled Nazi pipe dreams brought to life as desperate weapons.
All that said, we don’t need the black prince. Thanks for everyone else for doing the research. It looks like we’ve got lots of potential alternatives to work with that were present in the theater (Italy, presumably). |
I'll post the link when it's up, but in AE's New Battlegrounds tournament final there was a game where Kimbo won the game because of the sturmtiger.
It let Kimbo wipe individual squads and push at guns. It was exciting to watch but I've played games like that too. I'm going tit-for-tat with my opponent and things are generally balanced or even slightly in my favour... but then my opponent brings out a sturmtiger and I start losing squads one by one.
Frankly, I don't think that units like this or abilities should be in the game. They're not fun and, while they're not instant-win buttons, they make things frustrating. |
I'm glad Relic seems to be balancing keeping old players on and bringing new players in! This will definitely help older people like my dad enjoy the game ahahaha |

I'd love to see a bit of a comparison between your two coh3 wishlist stories and what we've got so far... and then maybe another one towards official launch! |
From what I've heard so far today it sounds like the community has been involved from the earliest stages.
Whiteflash has his two coh3 wishlist stories on here and those received a lot of attention. Relic definitely took those into consideration.
They've also hired two community members. I'm not sure who but I'm pretty sure one of them is Monolithic Bacon.
All in all, it looks like they've had the chance to take their time with this and they've been working on mixing the best of coh1 and coh2 into a game that us hardcore, longterm fans will love while staying up to date with what newer players want to experience. |
Thank you for continuing to update the game |

This sounds like an issue you should contact Discord about, not us here on .org. |
Bump but also edited to change title to something with more clickbait, changed some wording around, and pinned the post here! |
