How many times did you simply Katy and priest barrage the supporting infantry and ATGs, then have someone else swarm in with tanks and mark vehicle? What can axis do about that? Win the early game?? I'm saying soviets walk over axis. Axis can't "invalidate" anything allies do, except heavy tanks with jagd or elefant. and in team games, even that is taken away.

No it does not. Pak43 has 470 hitpoints and katyusha precision strike does 320 damage when all rockets hit.
Assuming there's only one katyusha at 8 CP?
Paks ,especially immobile paks that are huge targets,are invalid when katyushas (or any of the numerous allied artillery pieces )come. |
However, emplacements are not brutally murdered by katyushas. After getting it to vet1, it can DECREW the PAK like every 2 minutes if you invest all your muni income.. it's not like it's a stuka lol
GTFO, it kills most crewed weapon out right ESPECIALLY both paks with precision strike.. And it's not like soviets are struggling for munitions. Or targets to get it to vet 1.

Yeah I think so the one where your t34/85 can be knocked out in two hits of a flak emplacement, at gun, or jagdtiger that can fire halfway across the map? or a Tiger crew shocking your tank every other hit.
Pak 43 takes 320+320+320 is 3 hits. 85s have 800 hp.
Jags tiger loses to medium tank spam and mark vehicle,and all these emplacements you speak of are brutally murdered by katyusha.
IS2 and ISU crew shock more than anything I've ever encountered. Again are we playing the same version of coh? |
I still find the axis have the advantage late game there resource rates excel later on with trucks and what not seems soon as well kill one tiger or kt another one is right there to replace it and eventually we can't keep production up quite the same the axis still has far better AT options with there at guns, shrek mobs, pak emplacements, jagdtiger.

I've been away from the game for awhile, but I do like this game. That said 1v1 auto is in a bad state.
I'm an average player (1500 w Wehr) and having to play top guys or noobs over and over again is not good. For example, I tried to play several games today and the guys I played against are: 5, 15, total noob, 200, 32, 51, total noob. That's not fun for anyone. If you think it is or that it is educational your wrong. It just isn't. More successful games have tiering because of this.
Solution: narrow the window on opponents. If I am ranked 1500 with Wehr match me against 2000 to 1000 guys. Yes that will increase the wait time on games perhaps substantially (minimal player base), but better that than the current nonsense.
FYI - used CELO to get the rankings. That is a whole other story. :/

On topic,maybe you just got unlucky,BUT,You're also not average,you're very experienced and decently ranked,give yourself some credit.
You have a couple thousand games played,which trumps most top 1000's,and rivals most top 100s,so you get matched with them...which to me makes plenty of sense.
Why should you get matched with a rank 1,200 soviet that has 140 games when you have 800 games as ostheer at rank 1,500? thats seems like an obvious mismatch to me.

My main problem with paks is #1 they're no where near as mobile as a StuG. I can get a StuG into the action whereas Pak's need to be somewhat close to where the action is before they can become of use and #2, this is a huge flaw in the Pak, they get decrewed SOOOOO easily. Like a fire bomb right ontop of a couple of Pak's their crews are gone, StuG will drive right through that though. Plus it has an MG Gunner on top to boot.
StuG can survive a Katyusha rocket barrage, I think I've even seen them survive a direct hit from a M6 Priest Howitzer, can't say the same for a Pak crew.
Fuel is almost never an issue with my style of game, i micro my tanks so well usually, that I'm usually floating a lot of fuel by endgame rather than in constant need of it. Which is once again why I like the StuG, I lost 3 StuGs out of 7 built and got 40,000 damage, can't complain about that bang for the buck.
You can recrew paks using halftracks and pios,and a STUG dies to a stiff breeze except it costs fuel and you cant recrew it once it dies. you just keep drainig fuel by replacing it.
I also dont feel a fragile assault gun is all that mobile.
But thats just my opinion. To me the only thing a STUG has going for it is DPS vs medium tanks like the T34 or sherman when you have 2-3 together,since it can actuallly penetrate them.
But vs IS2s n whatnot i'd rather have a panther or tiger. again just me
