To the best of knowledge:
1. No, there's no "2d top-down view"
2. I took a lot of time looking for such a thing but I didn't come across such a option. There's an option to rotate a group of objects by pressing shift and strg.
3. Only markers do have such an option.
Doing it by eye is the typical way. As far as I can say: don't try to align everything perfectly.
For example: If you want to create a street of houses try adding the houses to a spline. The spline tool will do the aligning for you. But more realistic looking streets of houses will have gaps and no perfectly aligned buildings. If you want to build corners use ruin and debris parts to create them and only add a complete buildings sparsely. |
Did you take a look at official night maps? Could be the light sources were added as action markers. |

The easiest way to get mud-settings is by loading relic settings via the load button on top of the atmosphere settings. Under DLC you'll find the settings used in the Southern Front DLC maps. |
Don't create to steep cliffs. Textures get distorted and don't look good. |
If you want to spawn units somewhere else instead at your base buildings you have to place "default rally points" for each player. After doing so your new units will move from the map entry point to the set rally points. |
Thanks =) |
Hi there,
I'm looking for a method to make objects indestructible. In the CoH1-WB it was possible to create indestructible ruins out of existing buildings by adding destruction and setting the health to zero.
I did some testing on the above mentioned method and the ruins could be destroyed further.
As the official maps don't show such behavior does anyone know a way to create such ruins and a second question: is it possible to make other objects indestructible (i.e. bridges or for a current problem the bridge ending debris/ruin)? |
Make a stamp of your existing map and stamp it on a new larger map |
same problem here. encountered it after working on a map which worked fine until yesterday's/today's patch.
Edit: SCAR and INFO files get updated when trying to save the map. Only the sgb seems to be affected |
