Let's just replace USF Riflemen with regular "men." Have them fight Axis forces with their bare fists, but Relic needs to make sure they don't hit too hard. Also, while this new patch is being made, hotfix the game so that all players using the Axis faction have a blinking, highlighted reverse key on the command tab, in addition to highlights to potential smoke grenades, blitzkrieg, and occasional chat messages such as "Remember, you can kite infantry with a vehicle by using bare minimum micromanagement." |
You know what, I checked the replay and it turns out that little buddy actually did get like...4 kills. Which is a fantastic job, they're all going to get a medal made of chocolate for that one. |
This was a silly game. I don't think anyone was a winner here. Especially the second Scott Howitzer, who survived the entire conflict and had an astounding zero kills because Relic. |
This is so weird. So many people upset about the ambulance. I've never had a problem with its speed. It's meant to be a fragile unit because of its unique utility. I don't think it should be touched. The unit is meant to be moved into a secure position once a frontline has been established.
Perhaps the people concerned with its mobility are simply putting it in very aggressive locations that they're not ready to defend properly. |
This is a serious issue. I think this bug happens when a pak 40 is re-crewed by any side. It starts being able to consistently crew shock every tank it penetrates. This has happened to me twice today so far.
The first time it was up against T-34 85's, it kept shocking the tank despite not being vet 1. The second time the pak 40 was stolen by an SU player and it was able to stun just as effectively. This is a serious problem and needs to be addressed as soon as possible. |
Just lost another game to FHQ strategy again. It's very difficult against opponents of a similar skill level because the pressure is just too intense for those crucial first minutes.
Getting map control back becomes a hassle. I'm throwing in the towel. If I go up against this increasingly more common strategy, I'll just put up a good fight, but I don't expect to win. |
Yeah, I don't really like playing OKW but I guess one of us will have to be that faction on a regular basis just to stand a chance. Kind of a shame that it has to be that way.
The only problem is trying to maintain hold over one fuel point while all of this is going on. That build has too much pressure in the first 10 minutes. |
This pertains to a 2vs2 setting on building heavy maps. For the purposes of this discussion, it can be a Wehr/OKW mix or a double faction team set up.
In places like Ettlebruck, against top 100 players, I'm finding it impossible to deal with this tactic because even a mix of mortars, flamers, and HMG's can't stem the tide of rapid response conscript spam. It's pretty disheartening to see someone in the top 10 just blobbing them up too, kind of makes me feel this game is hopelessly broken.
The closer they get to the starting position, the more difficult it is to dislodge them, and the FHQ is up in no time at all, and a lot of the buildings in certain maps have ludicrously high HP. I'm not a beginner, so I'd really appreciate some tried and true methods in dealing with this SU strategy in high level situations. |
I'm definitely interested in playing with you. I don't understand why other posters on this thread are being so rude to you because all of your responses seem invested in a firm sense of reality and decorum. I am the 2vs2 axis player you're looking for, so I'm eagerly awaiting our adventures in CoH 2.
However, I must urge you to prove yourself to me before we embark. You must write a thesis on why you deserve to win more than 51% of the time and use statistical analysis to prove that every single ally you've ever played with was worse than you using complicated bar graphs, historical anecdotes involving the actual World War this game is based on, and philosophical musings.
Furthermore, I require no less than fifty replays of you playing at your worst so that I know your minimum level of commitment per game.
I know what you're thinking. You've looked at my playercard. You must be wondering, "Hold on. Zuckerhund isn't a tournament level player. What is going on?"
Well my dear friend, my ladder position isn't an accurate portrayal of my skill level, because goblins savaged my rank when I wasn't looking. |
I think it's important to voice discontent as soon as it arises so that the company in question can have a chance to reconfigure their position on something.
I remember when the game was in open beta and people were asking why SLI support wasn't available I was one of the guys who kept saying "Calm down. SLI was in the first CoH, the sequel will have it too, no problem. It's just beta."
Well, turned out that people's concerns were valid. SLI never came to CoH 2 and major optimization wasn't done until over a year later.
People need to express their concerns. Yes, Relic is a business, but if the majority of users won't support the practice, how are they going to make money? |
