Thread: beating Puma spam5 May 2014, 16:01 PM gg, but the game could have gone differently if Guruskippy wasn't floating 600-800 manpower for 3/4 of the match and he got more infantry. He was fighting with only 3 lmg grens for half the match... Even some ostruppen would have been nice. But wp besides that. In: Replays
Thread: ridiculous russian buff5 May 2014, 15:23 PM Imo they should increase grens to 5 man instead of 4 man like volkgrenadiers in vcoh. With all the nerfs to armour for infantry Quantity>Quality. Anytime a gren is caught out in the open against a con in green cover 1-2 models will drop forcing a retreat. It really discourages attacking for the german player unless you're blobbing or under covering fire from an mg-42. In: COH2 Balance

I''m only asking since I've never tried piospam before. Thread: Poll: Why don't you participate in tournaments?4 May 2014, 08:39 AM First of all I haven't played much in months, so I'm a little rusty and haven't put in the practice to play in tournaments. The timing is also usually bad for me, I have uni on weekdays and tourneys usually run at 4 am for me. Also the game is really gimmicky, much worse than coh 1. I just don't know when lots of lucky/unlucky stuff can happen and wipe squads. I'll come back to the tourney scene when I've put some practice in and have time to relearn the game In: Lobby

Thread: ridiculous russian buff4 May 2014, 06:38 AM Jump back to quoted post3 May 2014, 18:53 PMDanielD Still don't see anyone trying to countersnipe. The ready-aim time on the soviet sniper is longer than the first shot re-cloak on the german sniper, so you can consistantly pick off one man of the soviet team and get away. Do that 4 times and the german sniper has paid for itself. Easier said than done of course but I don't think its unreasonable to have to counter snipers with snipers. I tried making german sniper work but 99% of the time it will not pay off. It is very easy to lose, just a 2-3 lucky rolls and it'll die to small arm fire. It's survivability atm doesn't make it worth it to try to countersnipe. Anyways, I'll agree with the OP, 5-6 conscript spam backed up with shocks or sniper backed up with guards is ridiculously hard to beat. Grens die trying to attack sandbag positions. Mg will get flanked from multiple directions or sniped to death. Panzergrens die like flies. By the time you get your panzer 4 out you'll be starving for map control and Russians can spam 4 T-34-85 and rush your base. Mines one shotting full-health squads isn't helping with the situation. Best Germans can do is gren spam and get upgunned scout car to kill sniper. But the Russians will just outzerg you with inf and cap the entire map until they can spam T34s :/ I'll say this patch is in favor of russians. In: COH2 Balance

Thread: Ways to play '' Lend Lease''28 Apr 2014, 16:45 PM Actually I go T1 for snipers. And I'll switch a con for a penal if I see the opponent spamming bunkers. With lend lease you don't need to build T2 for maxims since you got the "Dushka" or however the fuck you call it. I go to T4 since you have shermans and m3 halftrack in the doctrine which I will upgrade to a quad. I will spam SU-85s if there is a lot of enenmy tanks. Shermans and quad if there are a lot of infantry. With the fuel call in you can get a lot of SU-85s. Lend lease is very good as you pretty much have access to all tiers. The only things you don't have access to are mortars, AT guns and T70s. Lend lease is probably better for team games though. So summing up I usually go for: -T1 -Sniper -con -con -con/penal -Healing -AT nades -may mix in Dushka or second sniper depending on situation -T4 -call ins or SU-76 if need light vehicle AT -SU-85s if needed. -spam shermans -get katyusha if needed In: Red Army Strategies
