Like i said collective 10 whiners have ruined this game. and we had to eat the f**king stupid patch for two months with no change.

Yeah the Whiners are Collectivised now.

We had to re-educate a few Kulak whiners, but we are otherwise good to go now.

All part of the 5 year plan

AT Grenades will damage tanks and slow them down, but won't kill them by themselves (unless you have a LOT of conscripts)

A couple will kill light armour.


The AI builds a lot of infantry and generally techs slower than human players; they also, perhaps as a cause, like to build munitions caches rather than fuel, so end up with fewer tanks in the later game.

So if you feel like you are being swamped and outnumbered in the early game, you probably are because they are not putting resources into teching. You rushing your tech will often get you an advantage because the AI won't have counters out (but if you do that, then go T3...)


Generally for the Soviets - and I apologise if you know this already, you go T1 or T2, then T3 or T4.

If you are having issues with fighting armour, then I suggest T2 and then T4.

T2 will get you the ZIS, and if necessary the Maxim to control infantry (though I prefer to steal MG42s) if I can.

T4 gets you the mighty Su-85


Remember to lay mines, and if you have real problems facing armour take some guards.

Button will pin the tank in place so everything else can kill it

You asked for new options and flexibility?

So, in no particular order:

German


Luftwaffe


Trade MP for Fuel and Munitions (Good for fast tech)

Medical Supply is worthwhile

Other abilities are very good


Elite Troops

Elite Training breaks a basic concept and people either love it or loath it.

Tiger Ace is only availible here


Mechanised Assault

Con Spam for the Germans.
Very fun



Ostruppen

Not fashionable but can be interesting

Currently I think the only doctrine with fuel to munitions conversion, which is hilariously abusable, especially in team games


The rest are solid, or even very good but not very different

Soviet:

Counter Attack

B4 Howitzer and KV1, neither is especially great but they are fun


Soviet Industry

Elite Troops distaff side

Do you like tanks?

Only way to get a KV2


Partisans

Everyone's forgotten about these but they are super annoying to play against if used even remotely correctly.

Good in team games


Urban Defence

Good on some maps. Also obscure enough that it can really shine if your opponent doesn't know how to counter it or picked the wrong doctrine

Been playing this a lot in 1v1 as I get to grips with that; at some point I will have to try something else but for the moment down below 5000 this is good.

Been experimenting with BOs too.

Recently though I have going straight T1 with M3, Penal, Sniper.

On the grounds that that saves 50 fuel for the Conscripts' Techs so I can start pumping out tanks that much faster.

Trying to find the best balance for that.

M3 is fuel, and snipers are manpower heavy so maybe just two penals?


Have people had success with just building CEs? You'll have early capping power and they are generally something you want a lot of in this doctrine. Plus you will have the munis to upgrade them all with FTs.
