At the time T34/85s weren't too unpopular because the SU-85 was OP enough that someone supplementing one with the other wouldn't really notice. Hence they massively underperform against everything compared to the T34/76 now. Hence, they need a buff. Rate of fire seems like the most sensible one. +1 (x1000) In: COH2 Gameplay

Thread: T-34/85 NEEDS a buff.11 Oct 2013, 18:03 PM Friendly game vs Cataclaw where I wanted to try and test the T-34/85s in the latest patch, I must say I'm quite disappointed. Honestly when playing as the Soviets trying to alternate to different strategies ends up failing because certain units cannot outperform German armor once it hits the field, this replay shows that. I'm hoping in patches to come they fix this problem. In: Replays
Thread: T34/8510 Oct 2013, 20:52 PM I think if nothing is done to fix the T-34/85s the second best thing to do would be to remove them and either A. Give the option of a universal upgrade for all T-34s to get upgraded with a better turret that does better penetration then a t-34/85, for around 50-100 fuel I'd say. OR B. Give the option of this upgrade in a doctrine (Make it like 3 CPs). In: COH2 Gameplay

Yeah, Never ever engage a LMG without green cover, molotovs and preferably x2 conscripts (or something else). You need to keep micro up and do what the soviets do best, keep map control; keep on capping. I have walked pasted squads to cap/decap points before and keep the pressure on. snipers help BUT, require tons of micro and focus. Cuase if you lose the squad, you've lost a huge investment. IMO, i feel x4-6 grens vs sniper(s) are a bad idea as they can simply swarm the conscripts and snipers with either pgrens or Halftrack. I'd consider snipers only when there are x2-3 grens. +1 In: Strategy Desk
