please fix shocks at 1cp soon. does anyone even know if they are planning to? they come out way too early right now. its a pretty big problem. |
game was close to being balanced at one point. then cp changes and commanders like elite and industry destroyed that. its worth getting on sale though. i imagine playing custom annihilate would be fun if you get ppl to join. |
i would rather see an example of german advance and power in a kingtiger. not a tiger with a bunch of hp added to it. just doesnt make sense. also we are talking about balance too. purchasable vet just doesnt reward players for unit preservation etc. im pretty much against commanders that allow noobs to win with superior abilities that are ridiculous. |
i dont know zis<pak only because they are so hard to kill. true the numbers say pak has better pen etc but it dies so fast against one mortar or two fast t34's even if you get one with a pfaust there is no way that you are going to win. whereas the sov zis with cons/at nade and they can shut down up to 3 p4's cause the damn thing has so many men and with con support reinforce. even mortars have a tough time with the zis. it can arty them back lol. 2 zis with guards will rape german armor. back it up with a su td you can really hurt a armor heavy german player. you can also put your zis right up front in the battle to take ground, something the pak will never be able to do. its a combination of the sov at weapons that is so lethal not one unit itself. |
problem is t2 sov has mortars that whipe out mg's and a zis that kills fht. t2 with shocks is very annoying. total map control... true if they build t2 and some units they cant call in 2 shocks right away but they will get that one fast and thats really all they need to kill your grens and pios, then you got nothing to cap with. |
if it didnt hunt the retreating units across the map it would help alot. if you dont retreat from the smoke and area that the strike is in you should have your army destroyed i agree. however, its almost impossible to get away from. especially the small maps. it is like OP said though, its not just this strike thats a problem in destroying whole german squads. |
it was a badly designed commander. i dont think there is a place for pre vetted units in coh2. players should have to work to get vet 3 units. i did buy this commander. i used it once, cant say that i like it too much. the fact that it stops resource flow is just a dumb trade off for a pre vetted tiger. even after it is dead there is no resources. just not a very good design. i fear that if there is a king tiger that comes out it will have this stupid trade off. but it is definately a pay to win if you have 3 on a team lol. i moslty play germans so i fear the soviet industry commander, but the elite commander is by far the closest leaning toward the pay to win model. i hope that is not what they are going for. i think we want cool units that are going to be a bit on the op side, but there needs to be better ways of implementing stronger units other than stopping resources. also having purchasable vet in the same commander is horribly op. from a sov player perspective i can see it being a not fun commander to play against. from a german point of view i wish that all the commanders were useful again. i had a teammate who just did circles with his starting pios cause we were playing a clan and his excuse was there was no point in trying cause we only had 1 person using the elite commander. having something like the elite commander is overall bad for this game. |
i find that the il2 strafe actualy soes really good damage not only to infantry but also vehicles. anyways, i find building an ostwind is a must. it does shoot down planes on occasion. however, i have also had il2 strafe blow up my ostwind before it could shoot down the plane. i would say tone down the il2 and stuka strafes. arty should be powerful, but i dont think that either side should have the ability to whipe entire armies with 240 muni. perhaps have it so that the targets must be in sight?
as afar as team game balance, i would say that 4v4 is currently the closest thing to being balanced right now with the 1 cp shock troops. you can actualy get pgrens around the same time. |
i think the last two patches and lack of fixes where on purpose to make the soviet whiners happy. there was a lack of ost support on the official forums until a couple of weeks ago. i guess ost players got sick of getting the nerf bat. i said this was going to happen 4 months ago when everyone on the official forums was pro commie and saying nerf everything ost has, buff everything the soviets have. |
First off the SNF faction win rate has little to nothing to do with lack of german anti tank. As far as devrewing build a halftrack if you cant keep your eeapon teams safe. You always have acess to them. Soviets do not. Or an hq bunker if you would prefer muni to fuel.
