He'd fit in nicely, no need to switch races in CoH2 |
Guys, it was just a reference to the SSSSS build, but with mortars instead .
Either way, if a lot of compstompers vote (or whatever, maybe just whine on the official forums) Relic can't just ignore them, and how will they know who's a compstomper? |
2) They don't know what are the best units/combos, there is no COH2 metagame yet and there's definitely no COH2 mirror matches metagame yet.
There is: MMMMM ;D
We got some more precise info on SNF today from Eagleheart. He said that they'll listen to feedback during the beta, and see if the community likes mirrors or not. If not, I can't imagine they'll just keep it in the game if most people dislike it. |
ability unlocks through vet is a nice idea but it doesn't help with unit preservation (another key thing of coh), because abilities of individual units cant shift the game's momentum. One can spam more and more p4's knowing that vetted p4 is not a great improvement over its vanilla counterpart.
imo vet should be strong enough, lets say not have dominant impact, but should have enough impact to reward unit preservation.
How do you know? You have no idea what the abilities do. Maybe a P4 gets a speed boost after all? And Grens something like FTFL. |
I hope there's a way to see how many kills each unit has. Also, I think having a "bio" for each unit is kind of silly.
There is, there's a counter in the upper right corner of a unit portait.
@Wifidi
There is an "attack here" button near the lower right corner of the minimap, so I guess that's something |
Now this made me excited.
Thanks for the tips, I have a tip for this community as well.
I've seen a fair bit of hating on this forum, mainly about SC2. It's sad because the SC2 community on TL really likes COH, and it surprised me that some people here are so toxic about it.
So, going back to my tip. Do not hate on other communities, and games that are in the esports world. Because the truth is, we are all on the same boat, and if one succeeds, the other also gains something positive from it.

Yeah sure, but it's impossible |
We have wins and loses because of the RNG, and because no two players in the world are equal.
Yes, but RNG always comes into play after decision making. |
Since it is a mirror matchup, players have same units and same strategies at their disposal. Health on units is also the same. Terrain is symmetrical. Decision making is also 50/5O, if both players would have equal skill. Then the diversity of strategies will not decide the game, because both players know what is the best strategy on that map, and they will do it everytime. And then, if one of the players hasn´t a good day, game is decided. Intelligence bulletins might also decide the game. So might a choice of your commander, because you do it before the game.
Decision making is never equal, that's why we have wins and losses in coh. Unit health can be a factor, because of the aformentioned element. Furthermore, it's a terrible game where you have only 1 strategy available to you. |
Good point. Forgot about RNG. Another random factor that decides a win for one or another in mirror match, therefore should be removed in order to have balance in a mirror match. But ,for the lose of entertainment, of course.
It's not needed to remove RNG. Many elements decide about a win or loss, including strategies used, terrain, upgrades, health of units and decision making. There is no RNG in games like SC, and yet there are no terrible stalemates you guys are talking about. We'll have more diversity in strategies to avoid those. |
